Crimson Desert Releases Patch Notes for Update 1.15

Pearl Abyss is releasing a brand new update for Crimson Desertbut unlike recent updates, this one is largely concerned with fixing issues and stabilizing the game for players. Since its launch, Crimson Desert has seen a great deal of development driven largely by player behavior in the game and feedback to the developers. The result has been huge for the game, both in terms of keeping players happy and at the same time attracting others through positive word of mouth.

Sorry first reviews of Crimson Desert turned out to be more mixed than expected, resulting in a 30% drop in shares. However, Pearl Abyss focused on its players with quick updates to Crimson Desertfixing issues, addressing frustrations and adding new content. The result was a huge boost to the player base and the game rocketing past major sales milestones. While things may have settled down a bit in recent months, Pearl Abyss continues to update the game, with plans for larger content drops in the future.

While previous updates for Crimson Desert has typically added major new features and content, such as tweaking control schemes or adding the popular Re-blockade endgame enhancement, the July 23rd update is a bit smaller than what players have come to expect. While it doesn't include new features to dig into, the patch itself is important to keeping things stable as it fixes a lot of issues plaguing the experience for fans.

For players who enjoy some of the quieter moments in Crimson Desertespecially the housing and farming aspects of the game, this patch fixes a couple of issues related to growing and harvesting crops. Additionally, there was an issue that caused large fish carried on the player's back to disappear when collecting other fish from a trap. Players using either Oongka or Damiane can also save their loadouts, as the issue that prevented the lock status of equipped gear from remaining saved has finally been resolved.

The patch also addresses a larger issue that appears to have arisen from the recently added Cross Save feature for Crimson Desert. Originally added in patch 1.14, Cross Save allowed players to continue their journey through Pywel across PlayStation, Xbox, or PC through the same save data. However, it seems that some players experienced crash-related issues specifically when trying to load data on another platform. With this update, that bug has been fixed, meaning players can once again hop around on different platforms.

For those looking for new content to dig into, they'll have to wait a little longer. While patches tend to be released weekly, Pearl Abyss has bigger plans in the works as the developer teased major DLC coming to Crimson Desert. While the admission was light on details or even a time frame for when to expect it, director of marketing and PR, Will Powers, hinted that the upcoming project was specifically labeled as DLC and that there's a good reason why the studio is taking that approach to it. With Gamescom just around the corner, some fans are hoping to catch a glimpse of what Pearl Abyss has planned, but for now, players will have to wait a little longer.
