The greenhouse is a type of building i Moonlight Peaks which allows players to safely grow crops regardless of the season all year round.
However, the greenhouse is not available by default in the Howling Hammer store, and players must perform certain actions before they will be able to unlock the ability to purchase it from Ridge. Here's the breakdown.
How to unlock greenhouses in Moonlight Peaks

IN Moonlight Peaksthe Greenhouse is a reward for reaching 80% of museum completion. The Museum is a special building in the city where you can drop in items and artifacts obtainable in the game in exchange for rewards. This building is unlocked after you complete the “Curating the Museum” story mission.
When you reach 80% progress in the museum, Jada will stop you at the front desk and tell you that Ridge came by and told her that he was inspired by the farmer's room in the museum to come up with a new building idea: the Greenhouse.
The next time you enter the howling hammer, a cutscene will play where you will see Luna asking Ridge about the possibility of installing the greenhouse on her farm.
After the cutscene plays, talk to Ridge and choose “I want to buy something” alternative. Look under the Buildings tab and you will find the greenhouse listed for 50,000 coins.

Greenhouse explained
The greenhouse's purpose is to allow players to grow low-season crops year-round. This means you can plant and grow any crop in the game as long as you have seeds and empty space in the greenhouse for planting.
For example, wild potatoes only grow in the spring. If you plant a wild potato in the spring and the season changes before the crop is ready for harvest, it will be ruined as soon as summer arrives. If you try to plant any wild potatoes in summer, fall, or winter, the game will say, “This will not grow this season.”
But if you have a greenhouse, you will be able to plant wild potatoes even in winter, as if it were spring all year round. This mechanic is especially useful for crops with long growth cycles and for maintaining consistent production of your favorite or most lucrative crop without downtime.
