Did you recognize all the actors in the Until Dawn 2 trailer?

See, horror games love one thing above all else: putting extremely attractive people in life-threatening situations and asking us to recover from it afterwards. Dawn 2 certainly continues that tradition. The sequel's cast is stacked with Netflix stars, horror veterans, gaming icons, and at least a few people who already look like they've survived a haunted forest once before.

We still know basically nothing about the plot itself, which honestly feels very good for a game built around secrets and everyone making the worst possible decisions under pressure, but the cast reveal alone already says a lot about the sequel's vibe. So before we all inevitably get attached to characters we'll spend ten hours desperately trying to stay alive, here's all the actors confirmed for Until Dawn 2 so far and what you probably know them from.

Andie Yeah

3-1

Andie Ju is best known for Beef, which means she already has experience surviving deeply stressful situations caused entirely by other people making terrible decisions. Good preparation for Until Dawn.

Her performance in Beef stood out because she felt incredibly grounded amidst all the escalating mayhem, which is exactly the kind of energy horror ensembles desperately need. Someone has to react to frightening events like a real person instead of immediately running into a dark basement because they heard something strange.

Tanner Buchanan

5-1

Tanner Buchanan became a breakout star through Cobra Kai, where he spent several seasons fighting people, having breakdowns, and managing to do both at the same time.

He also appeared in He's All That, proving that he can survive modern teen drama, which can be harder than surviving a horror game. Buchanan has that very specific “looks cool while being actively stressed” energy that feels genetically engineered for interactive horror.

Janina Gavankar

6-1

Janina Gavankar has one of those careers where every time you look her up, you realize she's somehow been in it all. True Blood, The Morning Show, yes, Star Wars Battlefront 2.

She has worked in sci-fi, fantasy, action, horror and prestige television so consistently that her inclusion immediately makes the cast feel more serious. Plus, she naturally has the feel of someone who knows more than everyone else in the room, which is always valuable in horror media.

Sarah Catherine Hook

7-1

Sarah Catherine Hook has become one of the most recognizable names in modern horror and thriller television. Between First Kill and The White Lotus, she's built a strong reputation for performances that feel polished and just a little unsettling.

She also has an incredible something-bad-is-about-to-happen-to-this-rich-holiday energy, which The White Lotus fans will absolutely understand.

Gia Kim

8-1

Gia Kim broke out through XO, Kitty, where she quickly became a fan favorite thanks to her charisma and complicated social dynamics. Which, to be honest, is basically the whole basis of Until Dawn as a franchise.

Half the excitement in these games comes from the monsters. The other half comes from attractive young adults making eye contact after someone says something devastating in a cabin.

Hannah Kepple

9-1

Another Cobra Kai alum, Hannah Kepple is best known for playing Moon, one of the few characters on that show who consistently felt functional.

That alone makes her frankly overqualified for a horror game. Kepple has a very natural, likable screen presence that tends to get audiences attached to characters quickly, which is dangerous in a game where survival is never guaranteed.

Gavin Leatherwood

10-1

Gavin Leatherwood became a breakout favorite in Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, playing Nicholas Scratch, aka one of television's most aggressively attractive supernatural disasters.

Leatherwood already feels oddly perfect for horror. He has experience in dark fantasy, emotionally messy ensemble roles, cursed environments and scenes lit entirely by ominous blue light. At this point, Until Dawn honestly just feels like a natural career progression.

Raymond Lee

11-1

Raymond Lee is best known for directing the reboot of Quantum Leap, where he had to bounce between sci-fi, emotional drama, comedy and existential crises every week.

He also appeared in Top Gun: Maverick, which means he officially joins the very exclusive category of actors who have gone from military jet to probable supernatural terror. A surprisingly flexible CV path.

Dacre Montgomery

12-1

Dacre Montgomery already mastered the art of looking deeply caring at all times through his role as Billy in Stranger Things.

Seriously, even before supernatural monsters showed up, Billy was walking around like he personally knew where the horror soundtrack came from. Montgomery brings an intensity to basically every role he plays, which makes him feel almost scientifically designed for Until Dawn.

He was also the Red Ranger in the 2017 Power Rangers movie, giving him experience in both fleeting drama and giant CGI mayhem. Highly transferable skills.

Spencer Moore II

13

Spencer Moore II has steadily built recognition through projects such as Brilliant Minds and All American: Homecoming.

Compared to some of the more vocal personalities in the cast, Moore tends to give a more grounded and understated performance style, which is important in horror stories. If every character works in maximum panic immediately, the whole thing collapses. You need at least one person who reacts to the haunted situation with the energy of someone whose evening has been genuinely awkward.
