Black Clover is a phenomenal manga series by Yuki Tabata that started its serialization in Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump on February 16, 2015. Until August 2023, the series was serialized in Jump, but eventually moved to Jump GIGA on December 25, 2023, before the Black conclusion season continued in Black conclusion magazine. long term on 1 May 2026.
Black Clover Chapter 392 was really exciting and delivered a decent conclusion to the story, but many fans feel unsatisfied with the conclusion of various plot points. Thankfully, Black Clover's upcoming guidebook release settles the ending once and for all. The Big Shonen series in Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump often releases new content with its final volumes, as seen with other series such as Jujutsu Kaisen and My Hero Academia. Black Clover is no different in that regard. Shueisha has now officially confirmed that new content is on the way alongside the final volume. Black Clover Volume 38 will go on sale in Japan on August 4, 2026, and with it comes a new official guidebook for the series. The guidebook itself will contain exciting new information about various characters, arcs, storylines and more. More than anything, it has been confirmed that a new, 15-page chapter by Yuki Tabata will be included in this guidebook. New final chapter by Yuki Tabata to tie up loose ends
It's no secret Black clover fans didn't like the ending that Yuki Tabata offered in the last chapter. While the big question regarding the new holder of the position of Wizard King was answered, with Asta ascending to the position after defeating Yuno, there was still a significant part that was ignored, or just disappeared.
First, Tabata left the romantic ending of Asta completely unresolved, which disappointed many fans, especially after waiting years for it. In the end, he kept it vague with both Noelle and Mimosa fighting to win Asta's heart. This new chapter may finally reveal the outcome of their fight and finally fix Asta's romantic conclusion. My Hero Academia's Horikoshi went a similar route, only confirming Deku and Ochaco as a couple in the bonus chapter.
The upcoming bonus chapter on August 4, 2026 could also expand on the Black Clover world after the final battle, which was set to change in significant ways, especially when it came to the inclusion of other races like the elves, or the dismantling of some of the privileges of the elites. Black Clover chapter 392 only offered a glimpse of this new order and did not explore the subject sufficiently. More than anything, fans would love to see Asta and Yuno fight side by side again as adults with their new titles. All of this and more could be addressed in the final chapter of Black Clover when it releases on August 4, 2026.

August 4, 2026 will mark the end of an era for Black clover series, which will officially end its manga run once and for all with the highly anticipated release of Volume 38, and the guidebook which will offer supplemental information about the story and characters, along with a new chapter. After that though Black clover will officially end. As such, the new bonus chapter on August 4th may be the last time Tabata contributes to this expansive world that he has created.
After the manga ends, fans can at least look forward to the return of the anime Black clover which has already been confirmed by Studio Pierrot with a teaser of December 21, 2025. A new season of Black Clover will arrive sometime in October 2026, but an exact date remains to be determined.
