Steam users have until June 3rd to pick up 2019 multiplayer games for free

The latest offer as part of Steam's Free-to-Keep campaign is a 2019 multiplayer simulation game, one with 90% highly positive reviews on Steam, and users will have a limited time to get their hands on the game, Operation86completely free of charge. Until June 3rd, fans can take advantage of this latest Steam Free-to-Keep game.

As Steam users should know, the Free-to-Keep campaign makes periodically paid premium games completely free for a short period. Since these are publisher-initiated, they range from the incredibly small indie games to big AAA titles, with two Warhammerr games that recently left their offers, for example. The latest one does fall into the former bucket, being a small indie game, but it has received 1700 reviews in 6 years, which is more than many others. Usually it only sells for $2, so it's not like it's a huge setback on any given day of the week. Free is free, though, so be sure to add it to your digital library before it expires on June 3rd.

Steam's Free-to-Keep Promotion Has 5* Upcoming 100% Free Games for June 2026

Steam's Free-to-Keep campaign is currently slated to get at least five games in June, though more are on the way and one has a small caveat.

Operation86 is a simplified one, almost Hot Wheels-like multiplayer car simulation game. At its core, it's still about racing, but more specifically drifting, setting records and playing with friends is at its core. Its focus is on fast, slippery arcade style (again, Hot Wheels style) the game while collecting points. It also features over 40 cars, 30 maps, online multiplayer and an anime-inspired soundtrack.

Overall English reviews for Operation86 put it in the 90% very positive range, although recent reviews (a small sample of 16 users) have fallen to Mixed with 68% positive reviews. Generally speaking, the positive reviews praise the low price of the content, the driving mechanics, the pick-up-and-play feel, and the chaotic multiplayer fun it creates with friends. At the other end of the spectrum, people criticized its slippery handling, unrealistic physics, braking issues and a steep learning curve for its operation. But if you think of it as playing Hot Wheels instead of a game that Forza Horizon 6then you might find yourself with the majority.

Of course, racing games aren't for everyone, and luckily there are 2 other Free-to-Keep games currently available on Steam. One of these games is the multiplayer platformer, Bunny guyswhich is as if Chained together and Autumn guys had a child, and that child really liked rabbits. The last one is an endless runner where players are a dinosaur fleeing someone in a fursuit.

Overall, it's at least a memorable selection. If none of these tickle your itch, I'd recommend waiting a few days, as at least two more games could be coming to the Free-to-Keep promotion before the end of May.
