Diablo 4 announces 3rd anniversary event with free gifts

Blizzard has revealed its plans to celebrate Diablo 43rd anniversary, including the return of the March of the Goblins and Mother's Blessing events, along with five days of freebies. Diablo 4 recently saw a big spike in returning players with the release of the Lord of Hatred expansion in late April, and now players have an even bigger reason to jump back into the game. Festivities begin on June 2nd and run through June 9th.

Diablo 4 was first released on June 5, 2023, and has undergone some major changes in the three years since then. Along with releasing two major expansions in the form of 2024's Vessel of Hatred and this year's Lord of Hatred, Diablo 4 has also seen 13 seasons of balance changes and mechanical overhauls to get to the point where it is today. As Diablo the franchise as a whole celebrates its 30th anniversary this year, Diablo 4 is celebrating with an exciting event of its own.

A new Diablo 4 item has been billed as the rarest in the game and is finally showing up almost a month after Lord of Hatred was released.

In a Blizzard blog post, the company shared the details for Diablo 43rd Anniversary Event. The highlight of this event is the five days of free cosmetic gifts that players will be able to claim, including:

Day 1 – Blood Raven's Talon (One Handed Sword Cosmetic)
Day 2 – King Kanai's Last Stand (Shield Cosmetic)
Day 3 – Nangari Wounder (Dagger cosmetics)
Day 4 – Overlord's Odium (Two-Handed Axe)
Day 5 – Flamefinger's Claws (Glaive cosmetic)

The first of these gifts will be available within Diablo 4 Shop on June 1 at 12pm PDT, with a new gift every day until June 6th. Diablo 4 players simply need to log into the game and access the store to claim these gifts before they expire on June 9.

In addition to these free gifts, Diablo 4 players can also participate in the Mother's Blessing and March of the Goblins events. Mother's Blessing increases the amount of XP players earn from all in-game activities, making it the perfect way to level up a seasonal build or reach the highest ranks on the Paragon Board. It's also the perfect opportunity for players to build a second character for Diablo 4 Season 13, maybe try one of the insanely overpowered Barbarian or Sorcerer builds available this season.

March of the Goblins sees a drastically increased chance for Treasure Goblins throughout Sanctuary. With news like Diablo 4s broken Treasure Goblin farm has been fixed in the latest update, March of the Goblins is a nice consolation prize for players hoping to produce rare loot from these enemies. Returning with this event is the March of the Goblins Reputation Board, which rewards players for slaying enough of these creatures with helpful items like Resplendent Sparks, needed to craft mythic gear, as well as Regalia of the Sacred Creed mount armor.
