Berserk is one of the best seinen manga ever written. Unfortunately, BerserkThe writer, Kentaro Miura, passed away on May 6, 2021, leaving the future of the series uncertain. Under the supervision of Miura's longtime friend and fellow mangaka, Kouji Mori, Berserk has managed to keep releasing new chapters for the past five years, with the manga's most recent hiatus coming to an end soon. Berserks English-language publisher, Dark Horse, never gave the chapters the Miura Deluxe treatment, however.
Dark Horse's Berserk Deluxe re-release is far from the definitive way to read the manga. Unlike other 3-in-1 volumes, Berserk Deluxe has magazine-sized pages that really bring the art to life, while being leather-bound and featuring a built-in bookmark. These are high-quality releases that seemingly ended their run with Volume 14, which collected the last two volumes of Berserk Miura wrote before she passed away, as well as the series' official guidebook. Three years ago Berserk Deluxe end, Dark Horse finally has a positive update for fans.

Berserk fans have another chance to snag an iconic guts model
Berserk remains one of the most beloved dark fantasy series of all time, and those wanting a new Guts figure on their shelf are in luck.
Berserk Deluxe will return when volume 44 is released in Japan
A surprise for everyone Berserk heck, Dark Horse has confirmed that their Berserk Deluxe manga will actually continue, just as soon as there are enough volumes to release a new edition. The Berserk The manga has only released two volumes since Kentaro Miura's death, so there simply aren't enough chapters to make a new one Deluxe volume. In the past, most fans simply assumed Deluxe the line had ended Berserk Chapter 364, as Dark Horse's way of collecting precisely Miura's contribution to the series.
Berserk definitely lost some of its spark after Miura's passing, but Kouji Mori clearly has a deep love and respect for the manga, and has done an admirable job of keeping the story going. Miura also left notes behind, so it's not as if the current team is just making things up as they go – there's a real understanding of where Berserk going from here and how the series will eventually end. Sorry, don't expect it Berserk Volume 44 is coming out anytime in Japan.
Berserk volumes are generally nine chapters long, and there is only one unpublished chapter at present. Young Animal recently confirmed that there are three Berserk the chapters ready to be published, but it will still take at least three months to release. There's no telling if the manga will go back on hiatus after the third new chapter either. The best case scenario is that Young Animal continues to release chapters every month for the rest of the year, but even then it still matters Berserk Volume 44 won't be out until 2027 at the earliest.
Berserk Volume 43 will be released in English in October
In the meantime, Dark Horse has a new volume of Berserk will be released for English-speaking readers later this year. Berserk Volume 43 will be released on October 27, 2026collects chapters 374 to 382. Guts is currently at the lowest point he's been at since Eclipse, and is now a shell of his former self. No longer the deadly swordsman fans know and love, Guts is a depressed, broken mess comparable to how Griffith was at the end of the Golden Age arc.
Berserk Volume 43 will be a dark volume filled with dense world-building, harrowing character development for Guts, and intense action that promises the story is about to kick into high gear when the new chapters are released. The Eastern Exile arc feels like a big turning point for both Berserk and Guts. It really feels like Kouji Mori is finally stepping up Berserks endgame, which can only be bad news for Guts and his party.
