After the recent accident in the battle against Mamushi, which occurred in Two Blue Vortex Chapter 32, it is now confirmed that Sarada Uchiha will officially become blind in the future.
Boruto: Two Blue Vortex Chapter 34 Official Sneak Peek by V-Jump Confirms Sarada Uchiha's Mangekyo Sharingan Blindness
On May 14, 2026, the official Boruto: Two Blue Vortex X account and the official Boruto: Two Blue Vortex website released the monthly sneak peek of the upcoming Boruto chapter, due out on May 20, 2026. This new Boruto chapter will focus on the aftermath of the battle against Mamushi in Konoha, as well as the beginning of a new one, with a lot of focus on the likes of Hidari and Jura, the two remaining Shinju in the story.
In the officially revealed sneak peek, fans got to see a full page from the chapter, which showed Sarada Uchiha in a recovery bed in a hospital after completely passing out due to overuse of her Ohirume ability in Boruto: Two Blue Vortex Chapter 32. Sarada's mother, Sakura Haruno, who fans know is one of the most important characters from Naruto, was also seen at the scene. The young Uchiha is in recovery mode, as officially confirmed by the chapter.

The biggest takeaway from this sneak peek is that Sarada Uchiha is now going blind. Her vision is completely cloudy now, and she can't see things properly, which is due to her overuse of her Mangekyo Sharingan. Surprisingly, Sarada has only used Ohirume three times in the story. The first use came in Chapter 21 of the series when she defeated Ryu with the power of Ohirume. The second use came in the battle against Mamushi, where she took out about 15-20 clones at once. The third use failed completely due to her eye nearly imploding from all the chakra strain.
Sarada going blind so quickly shows that her Ohirume ability is incredibly overpowered. This is something Sakura confirms in the sneak peek Boruto: Two Blue Vortex Chapter 34, as she says that the degree of blindness depends on the ability and what chakra it consumes. It's clear that Ohirume is incredibly strong, but with that comes unintended consequences, now leading Sarada towards blindness.

In the new sneak peek of Two blue Vortexes In Chapter 34, it was also officially confirmed that Sarada now needs to change her glasses due to her eyesight having deteriorated tremendously since the last time she used Ohirume's power. Sarada now needs stronger glasses, which can help curb her blurry vision. Even with her new glasses, her vision is still pretty blurry, meaning she's very limited in what she can do in battle now. With the threat of Hidari now upon Konoha, it's only a matter of time before Sarada Uchiha finds herself in another dangerous situation and is forced to evolve.

Boruto's new arc sets up a big push for Sarada Uchiha Vs Hidari
Sarada Uchiha is officially going blind, but that doesn't mean you can't do something about it. She is one of the main characters in the Boruto series and clearly the heroine of the entire story. She is Sasuke's daughter, and like him, she has a very important role as the story's deuteragonist. Obviously, Sarada Uchiha will never go completely blind, and she will figure out a way around this blindness that comes with her Ohirume ability. To do that, she'll have to be resourceful in the upcoming Hidari arc, which will begin this month.
The new arc of Boruto The series will bring extra attention to Sarada Uchiha, and this is because the main villain of the arc is none other than Hidari, the clone of Sasuke Uchiha and Sarada's own father. This arc has personal stakes for Sarada and makes sure that a lot of importance is given to her. Either way, for Sarada Uchiha to evolve, the next arc of the Boruto series will be incredibly important, and fans are eagerly waiting to see what path she takes on Two Blue Vortex Chapter 34 and beyond. Currently, her fate looks bleak, but it's also exciting, because only when pushed against the walls can these brilliant characters written by Mikio Ikemoto and Masashi Kishimoto really develop.
