Another day means two things: we are one day closer GTA 6and we still don't have that GTA 6. But what might entice you (other than the abundance of games available in 2026 before November) is to look at rumours! We have compiled gameplay and contains rumors for GTA 6which we see is likely to be true.
All rumours, no matter how big or small, should be taken with a grain of salt. When it comes to GTA 6 and Rockstar's impressive secret, these rumors should be taken with a grain of salt. Regardless, we're going to share what we've heard from around the web and why we think there's truth behind them.

5 upcoming games to play instead of delayed GTA 6
2026 is a stacked year for video games, but with GTA 6 coming out in November, what games can give you a good time while you wait?
Dual protagonists and companions
Jason and Lucia deserve Date Night!
The main characters in GTA 6 is Jason Duval and Lucia Caminos, a Bonnie-and-Clyde-style couple who prove that romance isn't dead, because what keeps the spark alive is a life of crime. Although there hasn't been gameplay of the duo in action like for Michael, Trevor and Franklin in GTA 5we won't be surprised when you can switch between characters on the fly.
More importantly, outside of the rumored dual protagonist system, is Companion Mode. This mode may be officially revealed, or it may never even exist. But considering how advanced the technology seems to be GTA 6the fact that you can control both characters at the same time or have an AI companion follow you seems extremely plausible.
Weapon handling & concealment
Overhaul of weapon wheels
The days of walking around Los Santos with an RPG in hand may be over, like GTA 6 is rumored to have a more in-depth and realistic weapon system where you can't just walk around town swinging your many weapons through the expansive weapon wheel.
Not only will civilians and police officers act accordingly if you are holding a weapon, but the weapon handling itself is rumored to be as it was in Red Dead Redemption 2. But instead of storing your weapons on a horse, it's likely that you'll keep your favorite weapons in the trunk of your car, but who knows?
Body system
Get fat, get strong, get buff!
Grand Theft Auto 4 and Grand Theft Auto 5 ignored the concept of weight mechanics and developing physics, but this is something that Red Dead Redemption 2 (sort of) experimented with, where Arthur could get a little chubby if he ate too much canned food.
This feature may likely return GTA 6as the trailers so far have shown Jason as quite buff. Rumors are swirling about the possibilities of keeping Jason and Lucia in shape, or maybe letting them enjoy Cluckin' Bell every now and then to lose those six-packs.
6-Star Wanted Levels
The return of the full force of the law
One of the funnest (and controversial) aspects of Grand Theft Auto has always been the ability to commit serious crimes and build a wanted level. Getting caught up in a police chase, or just getting bored and seeing how much carnage you can dish out to build a 5-star wanted level, is one of the many things to do in GTA 5 that you are waiting for GTA 6but what about the 6 star desired level?
Grand Theft Auto 6 It is rumored to return to the 6-star wanted level. After all, it makes sense, right? Grand Theft Auto SIX with SIX stars for a desired level? This fresh rumor is plausible, but what scares me is what awaits a 6-star desired level in modern play. Is the National Guard involved?
Who is that character?

Many, many, enterable buildings
Over 700 interiors can be probable
One of the longest running rumors about GTA 6 is the fact that over 700 buildings can be accessed. While this seems like a long shot, we wouldn't be surprised either given Rockstar's talent. There are plenty of available buildings in RDR2 that don't require loading screens (we're looking at you, Starfield).
Therefore, why wouldn't it be likely that there are hundreds of buildings to enter? There's sure to be plenty to do, places to visit and crimes to commit, so we'll stick with the fact that this rumor is true. But like everyone else, I guess we'll just have to see.
Walking prone
A franchise-first to shut down
Another credible reputation is the ability to walk prone, something that has been completely absent GTA. While most of Rockstar's titles feature characters crouching or bending their knees slightly as if it makes a difference, it seems quite likely that GTA 6 will have the opportunity to go prone.
This can of course open up new opportunities for stealth play, but it can also be a nightmare for PvP players and mourning the inevitable GTA 6 onlinebecause drop-shotting has plagued Call of Duty for decades, and now it could GTA for?
GTA Online integration
What happens to our 13+ year old GTA Online Protagonists?
Rockstar has so far been pretty quiet about GTA online and its place in the world of GTA 6. Apparently, GTA 6 will have one online. After all, it is extremely successful even 13 years later. But how will Rockstar handle it? Will they leave GTA online alone? Do GTA Online 2? Or integrate everything?
We have seen rumors of GTA onlines integration in GTA 6but what that might mean remains a mystery. We have some speculative thoughts. It might be too hot for you GTA online protagonist, so they move to Vice City? Or, maybe it's just a new character with minimal connections.
Hunting (illegal and otherwise)
Hunting animals and gators can be an illegal activity
Animals are confirmed for Grand Theft Auto 6and sharp-eyed fans may have spotted lizards and alligators. Since the Grassriver Wetlands are a major point of interest in Leonida, you're likely to encounter some gators in the swamps, and from what we've seen, killing them can be punishable by law.
There's a screenshot posted by Rockstar of alligator hunters driving away from the police, and we can only assume it's because they picked up gator hides illegally. Therefore, we can only assume that there are some animals for which it is acceptable to hunt and others for which it is illegal.
