Spirits Tracks is back, everyone. Turning three in less than two weeks, The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is celebrating its anniversary in style with one of the most imaginative user creations the game has seen to date. And considering someone made an entire “live-action Godzilla story” using TOTK's construction mechanics, that's saying something.
Jump aboard the Hyrule Express, or whatever you want to call it – but the brilliant gamer behind it calls it the Spirit Train, so let's be real. This is a beloved ode to an underrated Zelda title from nearly two decades ago, and I'm here for it.
There is no way Ganondorf could have predicted this
r/HyruleEngineering remains pretty active, all things considered, and it's popping up with epic creations for Tears of the Kingdom. As someone whose Pokemon usually sleep outside in the grass in Pokemon Pokopia, I can only admire from afar. But thanks to the Nintendo Switch 2 version of TOTK, I can also just… scan industrious modder sumoguri2323's Spirit Train QR code and port the impressive vehicle into my game.
The above video beautifully showcases sumoguri2323's latest creation, but it's far from the only impressive piece the die-hard Zelda fan has brought to life. Skyward Sword diehard? Here is your “Zonized” Loft Wing. Can't stop thinking about The Wind Waker? The King of Red Lions is here. (Admittedly, he looks pretty funky. Sumoguri did his best.)
It just turns out that Tears of the Kingdom is still churning out amazingly creative content all this time later. I look forward to checking back in on r/HyruleEngineering down the road, but for now I have a huge world to traverse locomotive style.
