PC users have until May 8th to claim 4 certified classic games for free

GOG has added four nostalgic '90s games to its archive, all of which will be free to claim until May 8, 2026. GOG continues its preservation efforts and, as part of its ongoing program, has partnered with developer xLand, a former Polish studio, to modernize and protect its cult-favorite classics.

Newer generations of gamers are unlikely to know much about xLand unless they're really into DOS-era games. The company is considered one of the most influential developers in Poland, with several titles reaching outside the country and finding an audience in places like the United States. One of these games is Electro Manalso known as Electro body in some regions, which is now part of GOG's free-to-claim campaign.

Steam's latest giveaway on the Free-to-Keep campaign is a 2025 horror game with solid, mostly positive reviews on the platform.

GOG is giving away four nostalgic games right now

To celebrate the addition of xLand games to GOG, the company has launched a limited-time promotion until May 8, 2026, allowing players to pick up four titles for free. The lineup includes Robbo and its improved edition, Robbo's Adventurestogether with Heart candle and the aforementioned Electro Man. The first three are well-regarded classic puzzle games known for their clever level design and lovely retro visuals. In the meantime, Electro Man is an action platformer that has maintained a loyal cult following to this day.

The source codes for most of these xLand titles have been available online for quite some time. However, getting them to run on modern computers often requires some technical knowledge. There is also a browser version of fans Electro Man which lets nostalgia-seeking gamers try it for free. Even so, GOG's current program and marketing makes these titles much more accessible and compatible with modern devices, which is great news for fans of 90s games.

Robbo and Robbo's Adventures is the same game. The latter is an improved version prepared for release outside Poland several years after the original launch. However, both titles can be claimed separately on GOG.
