Assassin's Creed Black Flag resync will not feature the multiplayer mode from the original game, as Ubisoft confirms that the game will focus solely on Edward Kenway's story, enhanced with new story moments and reworked gameplay. When the original Black flag launched in 2013, it was a departure from before Assassin's Creed titles in a big way. It took the naval battles off Assassin's Creed 3 and developed them into a key pillar of the game. It did this so well that Ubisoft made the decision to develop Assassin's Creed Black Flag resync as a full-fledged remake of the original.
Assassin's Creed Black Flag resync allows players to experience Edward's journey across the Caribbean during the height of piracy. It features a complete overhaul of its graphics and combat, while expanding the game's story and memorable cast of characters. Ubisoft has billed it as the ultimate Edward Kenway experience, with the downside that Black flag resynced will not include the original's biggest DLC – Freedom Cry.
Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced will focus entirely on Edward's journey
In a similar vein, and directly confirmed by creative director Paul Fu, Assassin's Creed Black Flag resync will not feature any multiplayer, but will instead be strictly a single-player experience with Edward Kenway as the sole protagonist. For those wondering if this doesn't also involve some Abstergo sections, Ubisoft has also confirmed that Black flag resynced will not include a playable modern day. While the deliberate omission of Freedom Cry is no doubt disappointing to some players, the majority of Assassin's Creed the community is happy to Abstergo aspect of Black flags story is removed.

Paul Fu went on to clarify that Black flag resynced is a purely story-driven experience, focusing on completely rebuilding its land and sea combat, while staying true to the original vision from 2013. This means that Black flag resynced will remain an action-adventure game and will not include any RPG mechanics such as leveling or switching. Players will still get to expand their primary arsenal and upgrade their ship, just like in the original, but they are concerned Black flag resynced will borrow features from Origin, Odysseyor Valhalla can be calm. Assaults with Edward's Hidden Blade will be fatal, and enemies will not be health sponges.
That doesn't mean Ubisoft won't add new features Black flag resynced. The upcoming remake will notably introduce pets for Edward to find, tame and add to Jackdaw. Cats and monkeys have been confirmed as pets, but many Assassin's Creed players are also hopeful for parrots. In addition to pets, the remake will also improve combat encounters with new enemy types, as well as rework Black flags tailing sections to be milder or even optional to complete a mission.
