How to complete all side jobs in Mouse: PI for Hire

Except for the most important cases that Jack Pepper works on Mouse: PI for rentthere are also fourteen side jobs he can pick up for a variety of rewards. To do this you need to make sure Jack talks to everyone in town around his office between missions.

Anyone with a sideline will have an icon above their head indicating they have something to tell you. That said, be sure to check on everyone and talk to them multiple times, as some people may have more than one sideline at a time. Two side jobs must be picked up in the middle of the mission, but they are clear and hard to miss.

Tammy (PI Office, Street)

100 coins

For your first side job, talk to Tammy, who can be found hanging out on the main street across from the bar. Tammy will have a fairly simple task for you. It is to take a photo of the opera house for her, as she has never seen it.

A photo of a burning opera house in Mouse: PI For Hire.

As long as you pick up the quest, the game will prompt you to take the picture at the right moment. This means it will be pretty hard to miss compared to later side jobs, and you don't have to go all out to finish it.

As said, the moment in question is at the end of the mission, when you climb over balcony seats while the opera house burns. As you climb over, Jack will comment taking a photo of the burning stage and audience seats below. Once you have it, finish the main quest and bring the picture to Tammy when you get back to the PI office.

If you don't pick up the side job before starting the main quest it's related to, you'll miss it. The side quest related items will not appear in the main quest unless you have the quest active, and you will not be able to replay quests without a manual save from before you started the quest. For this reason, it's a good rule of thumb to check everyone between each mission.

Tammy (PI Office, Street)

2 Schedule

Your other side business also comes from Tammybut this one will involve you taking some blueprints for her while you complete your mission. Unlike the first side job, you won't be prompted when you're near this one. Instead, you have to go off the main road to find the blueprints.

Towards the end of the assignment, you'll find a typewriter, which is actually the last one on this mission, which will be located between a ladder on the right and a locked door on the left.

To complete the side job, you must do so enter through the locked doorbut you only get one chance to solve it before you get locked out, so it is highly recommended that you save with the typewriter before attempting to lock.

The locked door will lead to an area where you need pull a switch to activate a fan over some water. When the fan is active, use your Tail-a-chopper to slide up in the fan's wind stream until you reach the platform with several burning barrels.

The blueprints you need for Tammy will be in a single suspended train car in front of you which you have to jump to. There will also be a wall nearby that you can blow up for another figurine collection while you're there.

As long as you have the blueprints, go ahead and finish the level and then talk to Tammy when you return, which can now be found in her new weapon upgrade workshop.

To complete this side job, the first thing you need to do is take a photo of the overturned truck burning at the end of the main street you started onafter defeating the goons, of course. The final piece of information doesn't come until much later in the level, when you reach the theater stage, where there will be tons of enemies running under items that you can drop on them.

A letter sitting on some rope in Mouse: PI For Hire.

Passing through the last large set with a bar and a sofa, you enter a small hall with more enemies coming out of a door at the end. Before continuing straight ahead through a door that was previously story locked, look to the left in this hall to find a small envelope lying on the floor of a cart with a box on it.

Once you have the letter, wait until you've completed the main quest and returned to the PI office talk to Wanda to get your reward and complete the side job.

A hole in the wall in Mouse: PI For Hire.

For this one, head to the Opera Ruins to find a “warm enough and ashy place” for John. The Opera Ruins are a very small place now that you have total access the entire time you are there. The place you're looking for is at the top of the main room, on the west wall.

If you look up in the middle of the room, you can actually see the hole in the wall with a plank sticking out. Use the grappling hooks in this room to reach the platform near this hole and jump over to it. A comic can be found in this room, but for John's sideline, look for the hole in the ground that leads to a staircase with a skeleton on it.

Go to the bottom of the stairs, and you will be asked to cook the burger. Make sure you hold the button down long enough for it to register that the burger is cooked. Once you have the burnt burger, bring it back to John for your reward.

Defeat the enemies here, and this will lead you to a small square area between buildings there you will see a giant white heart spray painted on the wall with a dagger through it. Go up through the house that this spray paint is on, and you'll come to a balcony with something poisonous on the border below. This is the herring you need to pick up, and fast.

You can also reach this area by using the grappling hook in the square to enter the other buildings in this area. Once you have the herring, you've done everything you need to for this sideline. Just take the herring back to John when you returnbut don't forget Stilton's side job on this mission as well.

This location doesn't appear until later in the mission, though you know you've come to the right area when Jack mentions something about customs.

The area where you find the office is a courtyard with a water tower in the middle. You'll have a hot pepper available to you when you drop into this area, and you'll have to defeat several enemies. Once you've done that, proceed to the east corner of the area and smash the crates in front of a door that you need to unlock.

The first box can be found after you re-enter the mines. You'll see a heal point and a beware sign as soon as you enter, but if you look over the ledge, you'll see a path with a box on it to the left. The first box you need is down there near that box. Once you have it, you need to jump into the hole in the middle to proceed.
