How to get Pirate's Chest in Windrose

When you unlock this mission, the game marks a location on your map. Of course you expect the Pirate's Chest to be there. But when you get to the place, you see nothing. This is where most players get stuck.

The chest is actually in the exact spot. The catch is that it's buried underground and you need a shovel to dig it out.

If you don't have a shovel yet, you can craft it at the workbench, but the recipe is unlocked only after you collect three copper ingots.

How to craft the Spade in Windrose

Getting Copper Ingots requires a bit of setup. First, you need to mine copper from deposits found inside caves. These caves are easy to spot on the map thanks to hack icon.

When you have enough cups, place 12 cups in the furnace to turn it into three ingots. You also need a coal to power the process, which you can do by putting a piece of wood in the coal furnace.

Wood is the easy part. Just equip your ax and chop down some trees. You'll have more than enough in no time. In total you need x11 Wood to cover everything.

Once you have the shovel ready, you need to go back to the marked spot on the map and start digging. After some digging, you find the Pirate's Chest.

Be careful, the moment you dig up the Pirate's Chest, a group of Drowned will spawn to attack you, so you better be prepared for a fight!

With the Drowned now dead, you can return to the chest and open it to complete the 15 men on a dead man's chest quest. As a reward, Windrose players will get five Guineas and four silver bars.
