8 Strongest Super Saiyan Techniques, Ranked

The introduction of the Super Saiyan form completely changed Dragon Ball forever. Z had already changed the series' power scaling with alien invaders and the revelation that there was a universe of unknown threats out there, more powerful than anything seen in the original series up to that point. Super Saiyan not only gave Dragon Ball's core characters a way to break through those obstacles and come out on top, but it also expanded what was possible for the series going forward.

Now, regular Super Saiyan transformations have come to be overshadowed by their god-like counterparts. While no longer a go-to against truly powerful foes, the characters still manage to bring out their best when using Super Saiyan, SSJ2, SSJ3 and most recently the now canon SSJ4. These are some of the strongest techniques we've seen characters use in these Super Saiyan forms.

Dragon Ball: 10 Strongest Characters Who Can Use God Ki, Ranked

God Ki is incredibly rare and reserved for only the strongest fighters in the Dragon Ball Super multiverse.

Father-Son Kamehameha

Father-Son Kamehameha

One of the most iconic moments of the series is when Gohan, battered and broken after a challenging battle against Cell, manages to pull through and win a seemingly impossible beam collision with the help of his recently deceased father, which destroys the terrifying villain and saves the Earth from destruction.

Father-Son Kamehameha is a favorite among many Dragon Ball fans. It showcases Gohan's incredible resilience and power while in SS2, as well as Goku's ability to affect his surroundings. It's a really special moment that the franchise has tried to recreate, but nothing compares to the original.

True Kamehameha

We didn't get to see much of Super Saiyan 3 Goku. While it definitely gave Goku a huge boost in power, it's exactly what limited his ability to use it consistently. Although we didn't see much of it, SS3 Goku did some amazing feats.

In Super Saiyan 3, Goku debuts one of his strongest Kamehamehas; the true Kamehameha. Goku uses the technique after seeing Kid Buu attempt his own version of the Kamehameha. Goku's quickly proves to be the superior attack, and it managed to do some damage to Buu.

Maximum Final Flash

Although Vegeta initially skipped SS3 after failing to reach that level in the original series, DAIMA gave the Saiyan Prince his chance to show it off.

Although it was initially exclusive to his Super Saiyan 4 transformation in GTDAIMA's version of Maximum Final Flash looks different than its alternate universe counterpart. While the original takes on a green aura, the DAIMA Maximum Final Flash is more like the regular Final Flash, but with more power and a much more terrifying and undoubtedly powerful explosion.

Transcendent Power Kamehameha

Veget was not the only one to show off a new transformation in DAIMA. In a move many didn't see coming, the series actually went ahead and made Super Saiyan 4 canon, with Goku achieving the iconic GT form and bringing it into the main series.

As you'd expect, Goku was a threat in his new form, debuting one of the strongest Kamehamehas we've seen. The Transcendent Power Kamehameha is similar to the original, but with a reddish tint added on top of the regular blue. It doesn't just look flashy either. It was one of the most powerful techniques in DAIMA, blasting through the first and second demon worlds.

Gigantic disaster

Gigantic disaster

The original version of Broly was a monster who won over fans with his amazing strength. The canon redesign of the character had some big shoes to fill, and at least managed to surpass the original in raw power.

We saw Broly use plenty of devastating techniques throughout his film debut. No matter what he had thrown at him, Broly managed to push and fight back even harder. His Gigantic Catastrophe is a combo move, with Broly starting with a Gigantic Roar, then firing a Gigantic Cluster, followed by a Gigantic Full Blast. The technique showcases Broly's raw strength, and while Gogeta was able to survive it, most would not have been able to withstand the attack.

Final Kamehameha

Final Kamehameha SSJ

Vegito gave us some of the best moments in the Buu Saga despite not being around much of it. We got to see Goku and Vegeta's combined strength in a way we never had before, with the powerful fusion often toying with Super Buu.

Vegito's Final Kamehameha is a combination of Final Flash and Kamehameha. The move begins to look like a regular Kamehameha as Vegito charges it, but when he fires the wave, his hand motion mimics that of the Final Flash and releases a blinding light that can decimate an opponent.

Stardust Breaker

Stardust Breaker

Although it wasn't made canon until Super Saiyan Blue Gogeta used it against Broly in DBSwe saw Gogeta use Stardust Breaker for the first time as a Super Saiyan against Janemba in Fusion Reborn. The first iteration of the move proves to be a deadly finisher, blasting Janemba and doing enough damage to return Saike to his original form.

It is one of the most powerful energy spheres in the series, with a striking visual appearance to match the incredible damage it can do. There isn't much that can compete with this one, in style or power.
