IN Pokémon GOThe Dynamax/Gigantamax phenomenon has significantly changed the way players collect and battle with Pokemon, adding another layer of complexity to this already massive mobile game. So it's no wonder that new players or returning veterans are a little confused when comparing Dynamax and Giant max species.
In this guide, players will find one comparative analysis between the different Dynamax and Gigantamax Pokémonwhich are classified into tiers according to their Max Moves Power, Stats, Best Rolls and TDO. These factors are key to defining which of these Pokemon will remain in the rankings and become meta picks for PvE for the foreseeable future. This guide will be updated accordingly as new Dynamax and Gigantamax Pokémon debut Pokémon GO.
All Gigantamax Pokemon in Pokemon GO
Gigantamax Pokemon can be very helpful in Max Raids, but which ones can you catch in Pokemon GO?
Updated March 21, 2026, by Lucas Simons: Memories in Motion is the current season of Pokemon GO, and with it, new Dynamax Pokemon have arrived to claim a place among the ranks of this tier list. With the recent addition of Dynamax Ho-Oh and Regice, the balance of power has shifted slightly. Check out the latest changes to the tier lists below.
Pokemon GO Dynamax & Gigantamax Tier List
Let us begin this analysis with an explanation of this classification. The rank goes from S (Superior) to D (the lowest of the rank) and a plus sign (+) next to the Pokémon name means that this Pokémon can be considered a little higher depending on the circumstances, or that it has even more utility despite being at the maximum rank.
Stats are graded according to Max Move Power, and each entry includes the best moveset for said Pokemon, and max stat values of 100& (Perfect IVs). So, without further ado, let's take a look at the strongest Dynamax and Gigantamax Pokémon.
Dynamax Pokémon have their overall stats and size greatly boosted, although they retain their original forms. In the meantime, Giant max Pokemon not only get more power, stats and size, but also get a new form and get a G-Max Move.
S-Tier Dynamax Pokémon
The Pokemon listed below are considered S-Tier in terms of usefulness in Dynamax/Gigantamax Raids, and are some of the preferred picks of the current meta.

Theoretically, Eternamax Eternatus would be the strongest Dragon-type Pokemon, and also the strongest Dynamax form in the game. Unfortunately, this Pokemon is impossible to collect, as it was only an Event Boss during the Pokemon GO Fest: Max Finale Event.
A- Tier Dynamax Pokémon
Generally speaking, A-Tier Dynamax and Gigantamax Pokemon are considered viable and a low budget investment, more so those that have other forms/Mega Evolutions besides their Dynamax Form.

B-Tier Dynamax Pokémon
B-Tier Dynamax and Gigantamax Pokémon are good choices, but players need to think carefully about what roles they will play during Raids, as some of these attackers are glass cannons, while supports and tanks are not as reliable as A and S Tier Pokémon.

C- Tier Dynamax Pokemon
C-Tier Dynamax Pokemon are considered trash Pokémon GO Dynamax Raids, still, some like Articuno, Suicune and Tsareena have other tools. Players should not invest too much Stardust and Candy on them.

Although Gigantamax has been present in Pokemon GO for almost a year, many Gigantamax forms are still unavailable in the Pokemon mobile game.
D-Tier Dynamax Pokemon
D-Tier Dynaamx Pokemon are generally really bad choices in general terms. Not worth investing time, Stardust or Candy to improve his CP to max.
