This came out of nowhere, and naturally, upon hearing this news, Demon Slayer fans were excited about the possibilities it could hold. As Infinity Castle Part 2 approached, expectations were high from the Studio Ufotable event for a new information drop. As expected, this Ufotable event was exciting and definitely exceeded many fans' expectations. The studio revealed some major projects, such as a new teaser for the Genshin Impact anime. But for Demon Slayer fans, it was a disappointment. While Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle Part 2 was mentioned, the only update fans got was that this movie is still in the works at Ufotable. Given that the production of this film is still ongoing, a 2026 release is automatically impossible. If it were to come in 2026, fans would at least have had confirmation by now, as well as major promotional content as well.

Ufotable won't handle two major movie releases in one year, especially with other projects in the works. Anyway, the wait is still long, and fans will have to be patient with this new product and get the best studio possible.
