There are a variety of challenges and missions that you will be given regularly in the slightly less apocalyptic post-apocalypse of Fallout 76and one that you will probably see quite often will require you to kill Mole Rats.
These mole rats can be found in most areas of the map in Fallout 76, but as these things go, you'll have trouble finding them when you want to encounter them. If you want to knock this mission out quickly, we have a list of locations that will be your best bets.
Where to find mole rats
These are some of them best mole rat hot spots in Appalachia.
Mole rats are some of the easiest creatures to defeat in the wasteland, but keep in mind that every time they hit you, they will apply a small amount of radiation. Coming equipped with either Rad-X or Radaway will minimize your radiation exposure, or fix it right after.
Aside from completing challenges, Mole Rats provide some resources, such as Mole Rat Meat which can be an easily crafted food ingredient, Teeth (which can be scrapped into Bone) and Hide (which can be scrapped into Leather). This is one of the easiest ways to obtain both of these crafting ingredients.

Mole rats can be found in many more places than these. But these have a high density of mole rats in their areas and are all located somewhat close together, making for a simple enough mole rat circuit through a relatively small area of the map.
