This article contains spoilers from JJK Modulo.
Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo has continuously grown in intensity, and right now it's one of the most exciting manga running in Weekly Shonen Jump, and that goes without saying. Gege Akutami has only leveled up in terms of storytelling, and Modulo might be even better than its predecessor in some ways. In both cases, JJK Modulo currently features an absolutely intense battle between the new strongest, Dabura, and Yuka Okkotsu, the current user of the Ten Shadows technique.
Jujutsu Kaisen: Gege has already set up the main character's death
JJK's main character is going to die, and fans are heartbroken.
In the middle of it all, a big debate is going on right now among the fans, and that is to say the fate of Megumi Fushiguro in JJK Modulo. Because Yuka has access to the Ten Shadows technique, many fans believe that Megumi is now officially deadbut there is more to Megumi's fate than just Yuka inheriting the Ten Shadows technique. Megumi's death has been in the story long before then, and it is very likely that he has already passed away.
Megumi Fushiguro may already be dead in JJK Modulo

Yuji's loneliness is linked to Megumi's disappearance

Megumi Fushiguro was not sought out during the search for Yuji Itadori
Megumi Fushiguro is dead in JJK Modulo is the most likely outcome at this point. For starters, Megumi hasn't appeared in Modulo even once. Fans have already seen Nobara Kugisaki appear in JJK Modulo, and that was when Japan was actively searching for Yuji Itadori.
Currently, Yuji Itadori has two Cursed Techniques. Integration of death paintings 4 to 9 engraved blood manipulation on him. And the awakened state of Black Flash has brought out the Malevolent Shrine, which was engraved on him as Ryomen Sukuna's complete curse. — Narrator on Yuji Itadori
It seemed that Nobara and Yuji had drifted apart over the years, so much so that Nobara referred to Yuji by his last name, implying that they were not close anymore. The last time Nobara saw Yuji was during Hana's funeral, at which point Yuji clearly stated that he would not attend any more funerals because he was in too much pain. Yuji cut off all contact with his friends and has been missing ever since.
If Megumi Fushiguro really lived, then he would have been consulted at this critical time. In fact, if Megumi had lived, he might as well have been Japan's best bet against Daburaconsidering he has access to the Ten Shadows as well, and even though he was dying, he could still access Mahoraga and possibly perform better against Dabura, despite his advanced age, than Yuka Okkotsu.
Yuji's disappearance hints at Megumi's death
Most importantly though, fans need to take note Yuji Itadori's absence is the biggest clue to Megumi's death. Yuji has cut off all contact with the environment. This is because he is in too much pain and he does not want to see his loved ones pass away one by one. Of course, fans know that Maki and Yuta Okkotsu have died, which must have caused Yuji immense pain. But none of them were actually Yuji's best friend.
I think it was during the Edo period…or maybe Keicho? I forget, but the heads of the respective households killed each other in a fight before the aristocracy. Then the leaders were a Limitless Cursed Technique user with Six Eyes like me for the Gojo Family, and a Ten Shadows technique user like Megumi for the Zenin Family. Do you understand what I'm trying to say? — Gojo Satoru to Megumi Fushiguro
Jujutsu Kaisen creator Gege Akutami finally reveals a new special class wizard
A new Special Grade Sorcerer has been officially revealed. His power can trump any other wizard before him in JJK Modulo.
In JJK's main story, Yuji clearly states that Megumi is his best friendand he even tells Megumi that it would be far too lonely without him. Yuji sheds tears at the thought of not having Megumi around. That alone is proof enough that Megumi has indeed passed away.
It must also be noted that Hana's was the last funeral Yuji attendedbut Gege clearly set up Hana and Megumi ending up together at the end of JJK. If Hana's funeral was the last, then it is likely that Megumi's funeral took place even before that. Then followed Yuta and Maki's funeral, and eventually Hana died, which was the last straw for Yuji Itadori.
If Yuji Itadori lost Megumi, he most likely lost his soulmate and, in other words, Yuji would be emotionally crushed. It would then make sense why he is behaving the way he is right now.
Yuka currently has access to the Ten Shadows technique
Of course, Yuka Okkotsu's cursed technique also comes into play here. As most fans have already noticed, Yuka has the same technique as Megumi Fushiguro. Technically speaking, Yuka has 10 shadows does not confirm to fans that Megumi is dead. Two people can have the same cursed technology in the JJK world. However, a technology that provides access to Mahoraga should be strictly limited to only one user.
Based on what has been said in the story so far, it can be said that there may be multiple users of the same cursed technology in JJKbut Blood Manipulation had multiple users, as did Projection Sorcery, another Zenin technique. But with Mahoraga, things get a little more complicated. Such a powerful technique cannot, and should not, have multiple users, as it is essentially on par with the combination of limitless and Six Eyes itself.
But more than that, as mentioned earlier in the story, if Megumi was really alive, even at her old age, he could have called Mahoraga and unleashed it on Dabura. An old and dying person would be a better victim than Yuka, who still had three months to live.
As sad as it is, Megumi Fushiguro's death is practically a given at this point. It is not a given that Megumi dies before Yuka Okkotsu, as two users of the same technique can certainly exist, but his death most likely happened because Yuji is alone and Yuka was used against Mahoraga in his place.
Megumi fans who were holding out hope and wanted to see their beloved one more time in the series, will be very disappointed to know that he will probably never come back again. Still, he will always be remembered as a brilliant character and JJK'S finest.
