ARC Raiders just announced that its first expedition strike has been delayed by a couple of days, effectively giving players a bit more time to prepare before the window closes. As mentioned in a post on the official ARC Raiders X account, the expedition window now opens on December 17, 2025, two days later than the original date of December 15.
Expeditions in ARC Raiders resembles Call of Dutys Prestige system, in that those who choose to participate in the event will have their current Raider erased, forcing them to start a new character when the next “season” begins. However, there are advantages to Expeditions i ARC Raiderswith players who do them getting a handful of permanent bonuses that should make their next journey through the game a little easier.
How expeditions work in ARC Raiders
Sending a Raider on an expedition ARC Raiders is no easy feat, as it requires players to collect or craft a significant amount of resources and then hand them over to the game before they're even eligible to go on one. It's not just the time it takes to collect said resources that makes it difficult either, as committing to an expedition means players will lose almost everything once the six-day window closes. For some players, the work it requires may not be worth it, while others may think otherwise.

Part of society has probably been prepared for the expedition to be wiped out ARC Raiders for quite some time now, so the two-day delay might not be the best news for them. However, those who were either late to the party or simply haven't had enough time to collect the material can take advantage of the new window. According to the post on ARC Raiders' official X account, which included a link to the official blog post detailing the delay, the window has been delayed to December 17th, with the window closing on December 22nd.
Players have already been able to contribute to their first expedition in ARC Raidersbut the six-day window serves as a final countdown to the drying rack. Until then, players can get another in-game live event with ARC Raiders' Cold Snap update, giving them another reason to get into the game.
