ARC Raiders reveal challenges for week 6

Not only does today mark the start of a brand new month, but Monday is also the day Embark Studios releases a new set of Trials Challenges for its amazing third-person extraction shooter, ARC Raiders. Week 6 of the Trials system is now live in-game, giving ARC Raiders players tons of new challenges to compete in and earn tons of rewards and cosmetic items. Players will have one week to collect the highest possible score for each new challenge before the next set rolls around on Monday, December 8th.

As ARC Raiders continues to soar in player numbers, with tons of new players making their way to Topside for the very first time every day. As such, there are probably some who have no idea how the testing system works. Thankfully, it's pretty easy and is a fun way for players to earn new rewards every week. Each challenge has a three-star system that allows players to earn an Uncommon, Rare, and Epic pack, depending on how many stars a player earns per challenge. Tests also pit the community against each other on a group board. The higher an individual places on the leaderboard, the more they will move up the rankings at the end of each week and thus earn even more rewards, such as cosmetic items.

How to complete ARC Raiders week 6 trials

  • Harm hornets

  • Deliver portable

  • Damage Rocketeers, Leapers or Bastions

  • Destroy Pops

  • Open ARC Probes

It's officially Monday, December 1, which means ARC Raiders players have a new set of Trials challenges to compete in. Many of them are easy enough for experienced players, such as damaging Hornets, one of the most common enemy types found on all maps. Destroying Pops, which are also found on all maps, and deliver portables. However, there are some more difficult challenges this week, including one that requires players to damage Rocketeers, Leapers, or Bastions, some of the deadliest enemies in ARC Raiders. For those looking to earn three stars in this specific challenge, it's best to jump into a night tree, as ARC enemies spawn at a much higher rate, meaning finding one (or all) of the aforementioned ARCs will be easier.

Another harder challenge this week is to open as many ARC probes as possible in a single raid. While the actual act of opening a probe is simple, finding them is the real challenge, as their spawn rate is random. But if players are on at the right time, they can jump into one of them ARC Raiders' map modifiers known as exploration probes. During this limited time raid type, the number of ARC probes spawning increases, which will make this specific trial challenge much easier. This can take place on four of the game's five maps, including Dam Battlegrounds, Buried City, Blue Gate, and Spaceport.

While trials give players the chance to earn tons of rewards, many are already getting tired of the repetitive challenges every week. One Reddit user has called the system “absolute rubbish”, while another has said it needs a total overhaul. Many have pointed out that Trials is unfair to solo players, as party groups can accumulate points together, while those playing alone are at a huge disadvantage, making it nearly impossible to climb the leaderboard. Others have also criticized Embark for reusing many of the same challenges every week, calling it “lame”.

Embark has not commented on player reception to Trials at the time of writing, but fans will be pleased to know that a major new content update will be released this month. For those who are tired of weekly challenges and want something else to check out, the new Cold Snap patch will be released sometime this month, according to ARC Raiders Roadmap for 2025. Fans can expect to find a new Snowfall map mode, a new event, a new Raider deck, more missions and the departure of the very first expedition.
