Black Myth: Wukong – Horse Guai Quest Walkthrough

Horse Guaialso known as Ma Tianba, is one of the characters that you can encounter during the first chapter of Black Myth: Wukong. This character appears several times throughout the game, and it is not mandatory to interact with him. However, he has an enigmatic mission centered around him that is eerily easy to miss.

The quest requires meeting the Horse Guai in almost every chapter of Black Myth: Wukongbut it's well worth completing for the final reward: the powerful Dark Thunder transformation technique. This guide describes each location you must talk to Horse Guai at Black Myth: Wukongalong with an extended section detailing the details of the Dark Thunder transformation.

You must exhaust all dialogue options for Horse Guai before moving on to the next chapter. This is because this is one of the game's failed missions, and if it fails, you have to try again in their NG+ playthrough.
