ARC Raiders the core gameplay loop is focused on deploying on maps, looting valuable items, and extracting back to Speranza. But things can go wrong quickly as ARC machines and players pose a huge threat, and there's always a risk of losing your loot. However, you can use the safe pockets in the inventory to protect your most valuable items from being lost on death. This guide will explain how Safe Pockets work in ARC Raiders and how to increase them for your character.
How to use safe pockets in ARC Raiders (prevent item loss)
Secure pockets are a great way to secure your most valuable loot in ARC Raiders. Storing your items in this part of your inventory guarantees that they will be recovered, even if your character dies during the raid. It's a great feature that players should use for specific loot, such as legendary gear, blueprints, items with high sell value, etc.
To use the secure pockets in ARC Raiders, make sure you have an Augment other than “Free Loadout Augment” equipped. Equipping an Augment allows you to have a safe pocket in your inventory.
Now if you come across any valuable item during raids, drag and drop the item into your Safe Pocket. If you are using a handheld, press the action button on a byte and select the “Move to safe pocket” option. If a player dies, they will still lose all their equipment and loot, but the items stored in Safe Pocket will be automatically extracted.
How to increase safe pockets in ARC Raiders
At the beginning of the game, players will have access to a single safe pocket, but they can expand it later. To increase your Safe Pocket from one to two, players can get Looting MK. 2 Boost either during raids or by buying it from Trader Lance at the clinic.
Equip Looting MK. 2 Reinforce will allow players to have two Safe Pockets, while the epic version of the Augment can bring their total Safe Pocket count to three in ARC Raiders. This is an incredibly useful feature that players should use, as Topside is an unpredictable place, and nothing hurts more than losing your hard-earned loot.
