There is a lot to do in Infinity Nikkiand in the 1.9 update during the music season, Nikki received a wonderful gift: a homestead to call her own among the Sea of Stars! However, there are some requirements before you can unlock the new home and all the abilities that come with it.
We'll break down how to get your own home island and what you can do with it below. From planting beautiful flowers to breeding your favorite animals or just decorating for hours, here's everything you need to know about the floating Home Island in Infinity Nikki!
How to unlock the home island
To unlock your new home, journey to the sea of stars to complete Set off on a hot spot quest. The seer will introduce you to Orion at Unbound Wharf, so you can take a starlit boat trip to the island made just for you.
From there, talk to Posy and follow her instructions to learn all about your new abilities and name your island! Don't worry, you can take things at your own pace and change your island name whenever you want.
Home Island abilities
On the home island there are several abilities you can use for make it your own. As of the 1.11 Encore Season update, there are six abilities:
- Construction. This allows you to decorate the island, move mountains and furniture alike!
- Planting. This ability allows you to garden, plant herbs, flowers, trees and all kinds of plants.
- Star collection. This ability gives Nikki a chance to collect falling meteorites every day.
- Animals inviting. This outfit allows you to play music for and befriend the animals of Miraland and invite them to stay with you.
- Fish farming. This outfit allows Nikki to grow fish in ponds on the island.
- Cooking. This outfit allows Nikki to whip up sweet desserts, mix colorful drinks, and stir up delicious casseroles for benefits.
Each of these abilities can be unlocked with permission bought from Posy, and they can be level up with Home Insight and astralites earned by doing your usual activities around the island.
Each ability has ten levels, giving additional rewards for each upgrade.
Visiting the Friend's Islands
You can use the sign to visit other players' islands across the sea of stars, even if the selection is random. However, you can favorite the ones you like and revisit them later. Update the sign to get a new selection of islands and previews.
There is a slight cooldown between updates.
You can too go over to the flowery archway to see your friends' islands. To visit at any time, you must first link and become neighbors. Just send out a request and wait for your friend to respond! You can then visit them even when they are offline.
You can even exchange gifts with other players via the postal system, regardless of whether you spend astralites to send the gifts out or you hold them trade in person. Gifts are unique items that cannot be crafted for yourselfso you have to do it too reach out to friends to get the items you want or create an alternate account to gift them to yourself.
How you host your island
For 2,000 astralites you can host your island for the week. This allows friends you haven't met yet to visit your island through the sign!
They can explore, leave a like at the heart counter, and interact with anything on your island. Be sure to share lots of pictures!
How to farm astralites
You can never have too many astralites. This is the main currency on the home island, and Posy has 300,000 to trade with you weekly. The main way to get these astralites is through sells crops, animal products, fish and furniture as Posy requests an increased price.
Besides, you will accumulates astralites over time in the giant pink flower where Posy is waiting for you. Hit the flower with a cleansing ball to release the accumulated astralites.
You can also exchange additional Dreamland Stones from the Dreamland Showcase for some astralites, although those points are better spent on limited-time discounts.
How to plant crops on the home island
Gardening is as easy as create the spring bloom outfit and pick your seeds. Approach another plot of dirt plant the seedsthen wait for the appropriate time to harvest them.
When you harvest flowers and other crops, there is a random chance on which color variant you get is determined by the rarity. You can increase these odds by using different fertilizers to speed up the timer and increase your odds of a special harvest!
There are three types of plots:
- Large plots. These are for massive trees, which are expensive and valuable when fully grown.
- Medium plots. These are for small trees and trellis-based plants such as lampchili.
- Small plots. Most crops will go in these spaces, including flowers and herbs.
Once you've harvested enough crops of a single color, you can specifically plant that variety instead of a mysterious option.
How to collect meteorites on the home island
To collect meteorites around the island, create the Star Memory outfit and activate its ability. Nikki walks into one special view mode which allows her to feel the glowing meteorite fragments.
There is four rarities, each in a different colorwhich can be used to craft new items. Increasing the level of this ability gives you more chances to collect meteorites every day.
There is also one little chance of a giant meteorite landing in your garden by the harbor! When this happens, you can collect special fragments for freethat lets you craft screens by The Eight for your home.
You can exchange portraits with other players as gifts or create screens yourself.
How to farm fish on home island
Fish is particularly costly and time-consumingbut you need them too various crafting and cooking recipes. Using the Fish Tales outfit, Nikki and Momo can buy bags of guppies and throw them in ponds on the island.
Much like gardening, you have to do it wait for the fish to mature before you can pick them up. When you do, they will be stored in your inventory until used for crafting or sold to Posy for extra astralites.
Because fish are so expensive to raise, it is often better not to sell them unless Posy offers a bonus. Instead, try catching fish in Miraland for a chance to collect guppies there!
How to make friends with animals on the home island
The Meadow Symphony outfit sounds Nikki listen to the animals around Miraland and mirror their songs in a small mini-game Once Nikki has successfully completed this mini-game it can go to an animal shelter on the home island and interact with it to bring home an animal.
Small animal houses are for the little fluffy creaturessuch as Floofs and Celebcrows. The large animal shelters can keep Florashep, horses and other prominent animals over Miraland. You can even build relationships with these animals to earn privileges such as name them and give them accessories.
Leaving animal treats in the cabins allows you to collect resources from them, including standard materials you can get by tending them. These material accumulates quicklyso you can often sell large quantities for extra astralites.
Just be sure to save enough for crafts!
How to decorate the home island
The most prominent aspect of the home island is decorating, which can be done with the Flawless Vision outfit. This allows Nikki to dash around the island putting up walls, tearing them down and completely terraforming the island.
Before doing anything, make sure to save the default island as a schedule first so you can come back to it! Trust me on this one.
First you come only have access to some of the island. As you get more astralites you can buy additional expansions that takes place around your home.
New furniture can be made at the craft tableconsumes a variety of materials. You can too craft consumables such as dew and fish baitand paint repaint the walls and selected furniture.
There is a load limit and some decorations take up more space than others! Be aware of this and consider increasing the level of this ability to raise the initial load cap.
How to cook on the home island
Finally you can set up a kitchen and prepare drinks, stews and desserts for a well-rounded meal. Recipes can be learned from share meals with others or experiment with your ingredients. Each type of dish requires a different set of cookware, including the standard pastry counter, stovetop, and drink bar.
Different recipes have different mini-games to do if you want to cook a meal, with one little chance to create a delicious dish. Every dish has another effect, from giving Nikki Home Insight to increase the amount of astralites she gets from selling things to Posy for a certain number of hours.
To place a meal, open your decoration menu to put down placemats on any surface. Save the layout and approach to food in your inventory. You can select which items should appear on the displayso Nikki can interact with them.
Other players can interact with food items too, and you can trade snacks to learn new recipes!
