There are so many tricks in Skate 4 That it can be difficult to keep track of everything. Sometimes challenges in Skate Will ask you to pull out good looking tricks like a hippy jump.
Even if you check the SkatePedia trick list, you may not find the hippy jump controls with the rest of the tricks. Skate Put tricks in strange categories sometimes, so relying on the list in the game can be frustrating. If you are stuck on a Skate 4 Challenge, here is how you can pull off a hippy jump.
How to hippy jumps in skates 4
To perform a hippy jump in Skate 4All you have to do is press X+square buttons or A+b Buttons at the same time, depending on your chosen platform. If you press both of these buttons, your skates will jump in the air while their board continues to move.
You don't have to worry about timing your landing or something similar. Your rider will automatically land on their board safely when they come down. They will also follow the board perfectly, so there is no way to destroy a hippy jump if you do not send the board into a wall or curb.
You can even mix in some tricks without your board while you are Midair. Rotations and other basic maneuvers still work while making a hippy jump, so you can flex your skating abilities and land back safely on your board for lots of points.
Try to mix in a hippy jump in your trick rotation when you skate in areas with benches or other small spaces where your board can slip underneath. Some Skate 4 Challenges even specifically require you hippy jumping benches, so the game encourages you to pull out nice trick strings with it.
Hippy Hope is a core part of your tool kit in Skate 4. Make sure you use them often if you want to get the highest scored trick strings and complete skates with flying colors. In combination with other spotted features like Christ Air, you all show in San Vansterdam that you are the coolest skate in town.
