A masterful horror experience competing with the best in the series

Ever since the first disclosure I have been skeptical of Silent Hill f. Changing the setting from Small Town USA to the 1960s Japan and throwing out the established combat system for one that is completely melee-focused seemed that Konami took the series too far from what made it feel like Quiet hill. When reports came out that the battle almost was soul -like in nature, I lost even more belief in it Silent Hill f would live up to expectations. Imagine my surprise when I was done Silent Hill f And came away and felt that I had just played one of the best horror games over the past decade.

Silent Hill f Stars Japanese teen Hinako Shimizu, who leaves the house one day to find his hometown Ebisugaoka Höljd in fog and is terrorized by terrible monsters. Hinako has to defend himself against the creatures that lurk in the fog, but without any weapons she remains using what she can find lying down. Hinako arms itself with steel pipes, kitchen knives and baseball wood, which are not always extremely effective against Silent Hill fTwisted Monster. Although Hinako does not have a gun, resource management still plays an important role in Silent Hill f. Hinako not only has a limited inventory to work with, but weapons can break, which requires players to find new ones or use repair kits.

Silent Hill fFight is perhaps the biggest statement that long -term fans have with the game. For starters, I thought it was comically simple thanks to Hinako's almost-cartoonic Dodge, but as the game continues, things go up and the battle starts click. Although Hinako can easily avoid attacks, she has a endurance meter that prevents her from spam. In narrow rooms where Hinako has to fight more than one monster at a time, players must be very smart when they avoid and attack and create genuine tension. Many of Silent Hill f Monsters packs a punch, and even on the difficulties of history, not many hits for Hinako to die. It takes some to get used to, and some may think that Hinako's purposefully fights frustrating, but it fits the character and helps her feel vulnerable. Every enemy meeting is stressful on the higher difficulty settings, and players must be good at not only fighting, but to know when it is best to avoid combat meetings as well.

Silent Hill F Review

One of my favorite moments in Silent Hill f Come early in the game when I was commissioned to explore a house. I needed to find a key to get out, while being chased by a mannequin-like creature with a knife. Running away from the monster when I tried to plunder the building in so close to neighborhoods was scary and exciting, and the exact type of feeling I am looking for when playing a survival horror game. I could have blown the matter to death with Hinako's steel pipe, but hide and escape from the monster held the weapon's durability high, reduced the risk of injury and was simply the more fun alternative.

Silent Hill F -Monster is legitimately frightening

The Quiet hill Franchise is known for its iconic monster designs, and Silent Hill f Have some of the best in the series so far. Silent Hill f Monsters are things of nightmares, from a jumping of children's legs to a oily flob of faces that sprinkle blood. One of the creatures is a snail -like mass of what can only be described as a bulbous gray breast that lays eggs and spits green spy at Hinako. There are not too many boss enemies in Silent Hill fBut those that the game has also look fitting amazing and scary. It is too early to say about any of the monsters in Silent Hill f will reach the same level of popularity as Silent Hill 2The pyramid head, but I was thoroughly impressed with everything I encountered.

Silent Hill F Review

Managing Hinako's health and endurance is important when players fight and avoid Silent Hill fMany monsters, but there is also something else to take into account. Like many horror games before that, Silent Hill f Has a sanitation meter that can be emptied by certain attacks. If Hinako's sanitation meter is completely exhausted, she will die, so players have to keep an eye on it. An interesting wrinkle is that Silent Hill f Lets players consume their own sanitation meter with the intention of delivering more powerful attacks. Some meetings may be easier if Silent Hill f Players are willing to invest some of their reason in the battle, but then it can put them in a tough place later.

Silent Hill F Review

I was convinced of Silent Hill fThe fight went into the game, but it won me thanks to the smart turns used to expand it and the strength of enemy meetings. The concern I had for the combat system to keep Silent Hill f from feeling like a true Quiet hill The game disappears, and it has now become one of my favorite games in the franchise. Yes, the battle and attitude are different, but fans can be safe, Silent Hill f is still very clear one Quiet hill experience. It even has the franchise “Otherworld” brand – without doubt the most convincing so far.

Silent Hill F Review

It's about the game and how you play it.

When Hinako gets knocked out or otherwise falls unconscious Silent Hill fShe wakes up in a bizarre kingdom called the dark shrine. Here the rules are different. Enemies answer if they are not killed in specific rooms, and Hinako does not have access to her weapons from the real world. The dark shrine is oppressive, scary and home for some of the game's most memorable moments.

Silent Hill F has all you want from the series

Silent Hill fThe story is not afraid to take risks. In an industry filled with gaming stories that play it safely or recover well -trampled themes, Silent Hill f Offers an absolutely demented, layered story that takes several playthroughs to fully understand and appreciate. Like other games in the series, Silent Hill fThe story can be enjoyed at the surface level, but those who dive deeply and analyze the characters and significant storytelling will come away with a much greater appreciation of the game.

Silent Hill F Review

I am convinced that for a long time Quiet hill Fans will love Silent Hill f. Silent Hill f Is a classic survival horror game through and through, which means that players explore the world in search of resources and key articles, while struggling monsters and solving puzzles. A pair of puzzles in Silent Hill f are particularly difficult, but calculating them is extremely satisfactory, and those who do not care to get involved in that side of the survival experience can play with puzzles set for “story” difficulties. Silent Hill f Allows players to adapt the experience to their taste, with several difficulty settings for action and puzzles that can be mixed and matched. These settings cannot be changed when selected, but new game+ gives players the opportunity to adjust things, which is a great quality of life and keeps subsequent Playthrough's interesting.

Silent Hill f is built with several playthroughs in mind. Like other games in the series, Silent Hill f Has several finishes, and the game is short enough because it is not an overwhelming task. After rolling credit for the first time I started immediately Silent Hill f and pulled up the difficulty while trying to reveal the game's deeper mysteries. There are few games I play that make me want to start over directly, but Silent Hill f is one of them. In fact, I do not think that I will be satisfied until I have seen all the ends, and even then I can see myself return to the game because of how engrossing it is.

My first playthrough of Silent Hill f Took 7 hours and 47 minutes, which is right in the sweet place for what I want from a survival horror game. It does not exceed its welcome, but it has a lot of playback value for those who want to continue playing it.

Hinako's journey in Silent Hill f is brutal, beautiful and brilliant. As someone who has played survival horror games for decades, Silent Hill f is exactly what I want from a modern entry in the genre. It has challenging puzzles, awesome monsters and lots of playback value that is wrapped in fantastic graphics, good performance and smart quality features that ensure that it meets today's standards. Silent Hill f is a masterful horror game that stands high along with such as Silent Hill 2 And other classics survival.
