Hollow Knight: Silksong Is finally a reality, as the Cherry developer team has launched the game after seven years of development and six years of waiting after the announcement. Since then, Hollow Knight: Silksong Became a huge part of the internet, as Memes and “Silkposting” grew into a fun pastime to make the wait more bearable.
Long development cycles can easily become a pain, but I actually found the wait for Silk song Being very funny. I'm honestly a little bummed to wait for Silk song is over, because it gave rise to a fun online community. Thankfully, the bitter -sweet feelings quickly disappear when I start up Silk song. The game has not only been an explosion, but it has brought me back to my early days of games.
Hollow Knight: Silksong has me to remind me of the titles that kick -started my love for play
Cut your teeth on some of the game's largest platform player
Some of my earliest memories from games go back to the late 90s and early 2000s, as my older cousin introduced me to some of the titles that would change my life forever. Castlevania: Night's symphony and Super Metroid Opened my eyes to a world that I had no idea was even there. Sure, I was still very young child, but I remember lively that I saw Samus on the screen for the first time. These franchises were so influential, they eventually gave birth to a whole genre named after the two: Metroidvania.
Rinse forward for a few years, and I finally had my own gaming consoles and PDAs. Between PS2 and Game Boy Advance I spent hours with Jak & Daxter and MetroidfusionWhich further gave a love for a platform for me, although not Metroidvania. Once games have developed, solid platform players grow more difficult to find. Of course it is not impossible, thanks to games that Astrobot and indie -Titles like Lana PlanetBut platform players are less widespread at the moment, as Open-World RPGS and Live-Service titles are currently holding the limelight.

Silksong continues its predecessor's special spark
When I got hold of Hollow knight Back 2017 it ruled my love for platforms again. The little indie game boasted all the same things that made me fall in love with the genre in the first place. Beautiful level design, fun, but challenging, games and a fascinating world and Lore are all the same reasons why I gravored against Gastlevan and Metroid. Both Hollow knight and Silk song Bring the challenge with Metroidvanians to new heights, and I am so relieved that the latter is as satisfactory as the predecessor.
I really feel like a child again and play this game. The mystery of its world fills me with wonder, and I can easily get lost in it for hours. Silk song Is definitely difficult, but being wiped out by a manager to come back and try again is as wonderfully addictive as it was when I was a small player.
Team Cherry confirmed a few weeks ago at Gamescom it Silk song could potentially get DLC along the way.
Silksong has already made history
On the day of launch, Silk song Crashed some of the biggest online stores. Steam, Playstation, Xbox and Nintendo Switch were all down for a few hours, which showed how many were anxious to jump into a new chapter of Hollow knight. Now that the game is finally here I hope there are many other players out there who get the same joy from Silk song. Team Cherry has done something special about this series, and I look forward to their next project.
