Fans of Battlefield 2042 expresses his disappointment with multiplayer's first person shooter's lack of a campaign mode almost four years after the game's release. Battlefield 2042 have seen a large nail in popularity when fans are waiting for the official release of their successor, Battlefield 6But all the extra attention seems to make players go through one of the game's biggest criticism.
After two -hearted Battlefield 6 Open Beta earlier in August crushed Franchise discs and pulled in hundreds of thousands of players, a void was left on the FPS market that will not be filled until the game's launch on October 10. As a result, Battlefield 2042The player's behalf has skyrocketed. Before the end of the other Battlefield 6 Open Beta, Battlefield 2042Monthly simultaneous players on Steam were about 13,000 players, but it rose quickly after Beta ended and reached a peak of more than 72,000 on August 26, and it has still reached over 56,000 in the last 24 hours.
Battlefield 2042 Players still miss a campaign mode
In the midst of the game's resuscitation in popularity, however, some fans see their lack of a campaign as a missed opportunity to expand on their almost futuristic story. Reddit User Obesetorese is one of the players who draws attention to this issue, who praises the game for their artistic direction and narrative framework, but regrets that the story was largely pressed aside in favor of more focus on multiplayer aspects. Battlefield 2042The lack of a player campaign is unusual for the franchise, and story elements like Florida are mostly underwater and much of Europe that are ravaged by fire fires are things that fans wish they could have experienced from a more narrative heavy perspective.
Instead of a single player's story, Lore is presented in the futuristic world for the player through Battlefield 2042Specialists, a handful of completely expressed characters that give their own narrative perspective on the climate change crisis and its effect on the political instability that calls them into action. Several players have commented that they would probably have built up a greater connection to the specialists if they had a real history to work through. Others are still upset by the specialist system's implementation, including complaints that its replacement of a class system resulted in a feeling of fighting many clones.
Luckily for players who feel, Battlefield 6 Will have a complete single -player campaign set in 2027, as a fragmented NATO goes to war with the private military company Pax Armata. Set much closer to the real timeline, it will probably also be much more grounded in modern current events, but many fans still cannot get over the missed opportunity to Battlefield 2042The campaign was missing.
