The Dying Franchise has had an interesting relationship with weapons during its ten -year existence. After being available in the original DyingS Mid-to-Late-Games, weapons were completely removed from Dying light 2 Until a later update after fans feedback. DYING LIGHT: The Beast Reintroduces weapons as a feasible alternative for battle, albeit one that comes with some significant balances.
Game Rant spoke to the game director Nathan Lemaire and Franchise Director Tymon Smekala to discuss the role as a firearm will play in the upcoming action-surviving horror game. They discussed how the importance of weapons has changed a bit compared to previous payouts, and they also throw some light on the types of weapons that players can expect to come over in DYING LIGHT: The Beast.
How weapons are handled in dying lights: the beast
While weapons undoubtedly play a bigger role this time, DYING LIGHT: The Beast Is not a shooter in any way. Players still have to use ammunition sparingly and will often need to participate in some activities to get more. Then there is the sound to worry about – weapons will attract lots of unwanted attention to players who choose to trust them, which in itself presents new challenges. As Lemaire explained,
“Weapons were always a tricky topic in the franchise. For dying lights: the animal we believe they are powerful tools that come with balances. The first is about the scarcity in ammunition. Finding Ammo requires players to focus on certain types of activities; it will not use another to use one of those who have used one of the use of a distinction.
DYING LIGHT: The Beast's Guns will offer increased variation for players
As well as the increased frequency at which they are available, the various weapons offered in DYING LIGHT: The Beast has also improved. The usual offer of guns and shotguns is accompanied by more complex, outlandic alternatives, such as a flamethrower and a saw blade, which sounds particularly brutal. Smekala said,
“We also decided to have fun with weapons that -more or less -varied but are not your” old war veteran Grandpa “weapons. We introduce a flamethrower too close -combat zombie -step -a classic, iconic zombie zombie -fiction weapon which, for some reason, we had not yet. Gory tools that allow you to start spinning saw blades that cut enemy limbs in an instant.
The game's new weapon should help separate it from its predecessors and offer a new layer of depth to battle meetings. As I said, melee battle and Dying Franchise's brand park element will still be ahead and mine, so weapons are more of a different toy in the sandbox than a definition of that sandbox.
