The Elden Ring Nightreign is the gift that just keeps giving. It is not a typical live service title, but from the FROMSoftware has kept the game running by Dishing out free updates packed with tougher managers, better quality of life functions and the requested duos mode. It is a better service than some very revenue dedicated live -service games, and it seems that the studio may be going a step further.

First reported by PC Gamer, a group of dataminers appeared into the game's files to see if something new had been added after the fire Ring Nightreign's latest update. It turns out that it was absolutely, except that this new information was not just about a future resident or improvements on the road – it apparently revealed plans for a ranked position that came in the future.

According to Datamine, which was shared in the Reddit thread above, this position is called the depth. It seems to be an almost endless location where players take on randomized managers, with the challenge that gets bigger the deeper into the night you get.

Not only that, but this situation seems to work with the help of skill -based matchmaking and connect with other players who have the same “depth”. Every successful driving comes you closer to the next depth level, with a total of five, and you will not be able to release. For example, when you reach depth level 2, you can no longer drop to depth level 1.

Apparently there will also be some new toys to play with, including both weapons and relics. But these new depths of night weapons and relics will have both positive and negative effects linked to them, so it sounds like you have to take into account some Debuffs as well. It sounds pretty interesting, and having a ranked system in a game like the Elden Ring Nightreign would hugely increase its replay.

Unfortunately, we have no idea when this deep night position will sink, and I suspect from the frontstware want to roll out all its upgraded boss fights first. Again, this is exactly the type of announcement that would fit perfectly on a show like Gamescom Opening Night Live, which takes place on August 19, so the fingers crossed that we get some official information then.
