Ara: History Untold Nation Leader Selection Screen
Before setting up their game, players must choose which leader they want to play. There are 42 national leaders in Ara: History Untold; each has a unique perk as well as a selection of shared traits. A leader's unique attribute will appear above the other attributes in the upper right corner of the leader selection screen.
Before going to the next menu, players should select which leader skin they want from the Appearance menu in the lower left corner. However, this is a purely cosmetic change.

The default map type option is to generate a new map. However, players can choose a preset map if they want an experience on a certain type of terrain or environment.

In the Nation Settings menu, players must select the number of nations to be created on the game map. Players can create games with a minimum of 2 nations and a maximum of 10.

Nation settings
In addition to having to decide how many nations to play, the host must also choose the number of human players.
There can be a maximum of 10 nations and 10 human players. Although the host can freely reduce the number of human players, they can never have a lower number of players compared to the AI.
