Popular new Xbox Console -Exclusive is completely free to play

Xbox Console Exclusive Mecha Break has gained significant traction, which turns out to be extremely popular within a few days after the edition in early July 2025. This ongoing momentum is likely to help with the fact that Mecha Break is completely free to play.

The latest title from Chinese Studio Amazing Seasun Games, Mecha Break was originally announced at the 2023 edition of the Game Awards. It was imagined as a multiplayer mech game that is largely focused on PVP and quite short but quick matches. Mecha Break: 6 tips and tricks for beginners

Beginners can have a better experience with Mecha Break by learning some useful tips and tricks.

Even during this temporary period of Xbox console -exclusivity, Mecha Break already seems to do well. Only on PC only topped the game almost 133,000 simultaneous players shortly after their debut in early July, according to SteamDB data. Its daily simultaneous players top on the platform is still in the ball park at 50,000 from July 12. Based on its 24-hour game top, Mecha Break are currently in the 50 most popular games on Steam. When you look at the “most played” episode in the Xbox store, it is listed in the 35 most played titles, a position it also has in the Microsoft store for PC.

Early Mecha Break reviews are mixed

Two massively popular Mecha Break Betas that preceded the launch probably helped to drum up interest in the free to play the game in front of their full edition. While its current player moment is significant, the game's early reviews are somewhat mixed. Over at the Xbox store, Mecha Break Has a 3.5-star rating from July 12, based on over 1,000 players' impressions. At the same time, its steam user reviews in the “mixed” category is based on over 16,000 of them. The game's reception among professional critics is in line with this response, as underlined by Mecha Break'S “fair” rating on OpenCritic, with an average score of 73 and a 50% recommendation.

Looking at the actual content of these reviews, early adopters of Mecha Break Has largely praised the game's battle and images, as well as its in -depth adaptation options and total availability. However, the game is also criticized for its aggressive revenue generation, reflected in its expensive skin bundles and a grindy combat pass that encourages the purchase of its premium variant. Some early adopters have also criticized the almost complete focus on PVP, to the point that the game does not even have a pure PVE mode, just something similar to a PVPVe experience.

During previous Betas, developer Amazing Seasun showed a desire to make changes based on gigs feedback. As such, some of these early player problems can still make a difference.
