Decades old Dying The series has had two primary settings so far: Dyings Harran and Dying light 2S Villedor. Both of these settings are spreading city metropolises packed to the edge with tall buildings, industrial areas and residential areas, all of which are perfectly suited for the series' unique mix of zombie-laying and ground parkour. DYING LIGHT: The BeastHowever, is a slightly different attitude towards the table.
Shop Concrete Jungles off Dying light 1 and 2 For a more countryside, natural environment, DYING LIGHT: The BeastCastor Woods will see players dart over the rooftops in a small tourist town and strikes through its surrounding forests. Game Rant recently spoke to Dying Franchise Director Tymon Smekala, who sheds more light on this new environment and discussed how Techland makes Castor Woods feel like a living, breathing site.

DYING LIGHT: The Beast Dev reveals 10 game details you may have missed [EXCLUSIVE]
Game Rant speaks with Dying Light: The Beast's Techland about game details, hidden mechanics and world -building touch that fans may have missed.
DYING LIGHT: The Beast's World are handmade and filled with “human elements”
Environmental design is an integrated aspect of developing an open world game. The layout of a building, the site of certain props and small hidden details is gathered all to create a coherent, lived space that deepens the player in the game world. DYING LIGHT: The Beast Developer Techland knows this too well and understands how important it is to let the environmental artists do their job:
“We made sure that Castor Woods feels lively and as a inhabited ecosystem by releasing the creativity and talent for our artists. We gave our team just one direction:” Go through each square meter on the map and make sure it feels unique, handmade and lived. “
DYING LIGHT: The BeastArt Team, directed by Katarzyna Tarnacka Polito, apparently did just that. To breathe life in Castor Wood's world, Tarnacka-Polite's art team integrated some of their real memories in the environmental design. For example, some of the development group's personal objects are added to real life to DYING LIGHT: The Beast:
“What makes it really unique is the number of real objects that were added and made in the game-a good example is the lion-themed blanket you see in the safe zone in the game. It is a real item that belongs to Katarzyna's grandmother! There are lots of small stories like in the environment and these human touch really make Castor excellent.”
Small human details like this one can go a long way to make Castor Woods feel even more engrossing than Dyings Harran and Dying light 2S Villedor. But these environmental information is just a piece of the puzzle.
How dying lights: The animal uses new technology to make Castor Woods feel like a real place
It's been over three years ago Dying light 2 Hit store shelves. In this modern playing age, three years are not much time for huge technical leaps, but developer Techland has learned a lot about his internal C-engine during that time, and it uses the newly found knowledge to make Castor Woods look appropriately fantastic:
“We write about huge parts of our rendering code for lighting and add some missing features – EC, sun that moves on the horizon. Combined with current gene for material reproduction, it makes the world much more credible. Oh, and the weather system also received a review, as we now support more different weather conditions than before.”
In everything DYING LIGHT: The BeastGameplay and Cinematic Trailers released so far, the visual and atmosphere in Castor Woods has been a key height. Especially the lighting looks extremely impressive, with the natural glow of the set sun that paves the way for some really picturesque moments. This natural beauty is hopefully something that puts DYING LIGHT: The Beast Apart from their predecessors.
