Buffy Was supposed to have more cross -vevers than Angel
Angel was a successful spinoff in his own right and created their own fan favorite characters and expanded the world of Buffy With unique new lore. Angel Drove for five seasons before leaving the fans on a cliffhanger, which was later explored in continuing comedians, much like Buffy. Throughout AngelThere are cross -vesses with Buffy. Cordelia goes from Buffy to AngelAnd many characters make less performances, such as Willow and Oz.
But in season five Angelthat occurred after the series finale of BuffyFan-favorite character nail switched between the show and became a series of regular spinoff. In spite of the spike's appearance in AngelThe character was intended to have another trip according to the actor who portrayed him, James Marsters.
As Marsters says in the above TikTok -Video (via The_electric_Crow), Spike was supposed to show up on Firefly. The plan was even long enough for the actor to be taken to the Sci-Fi series and introduced to the role. Sadly, Firefly was quickly interrupted the same year as it was released in 2002, before sending all finished episodes during their only season. Spike then came on Angel As a series of regular in the show's fifth season, which began to be broadcast in October 2003.
Have Firefly not interrupted, spike may never have appeared on AngelOr at least to the capacity of a series regularly. Still, it would have created a unique twist for the sci-fi show and its lore.
Spike's journey from Buffy To Firefly Makes sense
Firefly takes place 2517 and follows the Ragtag crew on the calm of the ship. While vampires were never part of the series, the unique creatures involved, such as Reaverers, who are explained by the film, and people who river, who are mental to a certain degree. While the problems that tormented the crew on Quiet Be more human than supernatural, Spike's presence in the future makes sense.
As Marsters explains in the clip, Spike is immortal. It is only the only performance needed for the character to exist so in the future. During Buffy Run, Spike's past was revealed to one degree, which lets the audience know that he was born sometime around 1850 and was of the character Drusilla in the 1880s, which made him immortal. As long as Spike continued to survive, which would have included some reality -changing events as seen in Firefly And the movie QuietHis appearance of the show would at least be logical meaning.
Spike would have made an interesting change of the world of Firefly
The crew of calm is an eclectic mix of personalities. While some are stupid rogues, others are refined in the way of society, and there is even a brute or two. Between them all, there is a true sense of friendship, with personalities that stimulate conflict, friendship and love. Spike was in the meantime always a complicated figure in the world of Buffy. He started as a villain, just to see his journey lead him around to be an anti -hero and even a love interest for the titular slave. Spike's complicated history and divisive personality makes him feel at home with the role of Firefly.
Serenity's captain, Mal Reynolds, often does not show their emotions and divert emotional strokes with humor, but still rises in chivalrous ways when the opportunity requires it. Spike was a similar figure at the time Buffy stopped. While he was an abominable villain at his introduction, he had become a character fans loved when the series' finale was broadcast. He would divert emotionally influencing moments with humor, but would still make the victim needed and showed that during his icy exterior he cared.
While Marsters are touring as a nail at Firefly Never came to be, it would have done for another unique transition in the world of Whedon's show. He could also have been a series of regular and changed the face of Firefly and the last season of Angel. The concept can get a chance to live in the series created by each show. But at the moment the fans have to wonder what could have been if Spike had made his journey from Buffy the Vampire Slayer to the world Firefly.
