Strongest characters in One Piece Luffy underestimated

Summary

  • Luffy often underestimates opponents because of his stubborn and hard -haired.

  • Luffy met humiliating defeat from strong enemies such as Aokiji, Crocodile and Magellan.

  • Luffy learns the harsh way about the real strength of formidable opponents such as Whitebeard and Kaido.

Although Luffy is already an extremely strong pirate, he may often end up underestimating his opponents. The main reason for this is simply because of how stubborn and hard Head Luffy is. He does not care too much about a person's reputation, all he wants is to kick their butt if they have acted unfairly and thought he is more than capable of taking them down with his own set of elastic Gomu Gomu abilities.

Family

A bit: 10 characters serving multiple pirate herds

These characters in One Piece have served several herds during their piracy careers.

But there are several villains in A bit Story that would be strongly underestimated by Luffy, which resulted in some of his most degrading defeat in the entire series. Although Luffy and his crew would eventually succeed in defeating most of these abominable characters once and for all, it is fair to say that the captain of the straw hat never expected them to be as strong as they would be.

Of course, given the huge gap between their power levels at this point, Aokiiji defeats Luffy with his ice powers without even breaking sweat. This would be the first time Luffy realized how strong the Admirals really are, which drives him to be much stronger to one day have any chance to beat these guys in battle.

A bit: 7 strongest devil fruit users in Elbaf, ranked

These devil fruit users will definitely leave their mark in Elbaf.

If not for Nico Robin, Luffy would certainly have come to an end here and showed how much he underestimated the terrible Shichibukai in the sea. After several attempts, Luffy could eventually come out the victory by weakening the crocodile with water, but even then he barely did it from the desert island with his life intact.

One of Luffy's most brutal defeat came to the hands of Magellan

Although he only appears in this bow, Magellan is still considered one of Lffy's toughest opponents to date. Luffy may have felt that he had what was required to handle Magellan as part of the prison's escape, so he never expected the fight to end with him being close to death lying in a pool of poison.

These members of the marine soldier have the potential to awaken their devil fruits and reach a whole new level of power in one piece.

With a single finger gun attack, spikes Lucci Luffy and launches him halfway across the island and does the same to Zoro not long after. It is ironic to see Luci have so difficult to stand up to give 5 Luffy in the latest Egghead arch, as the dynamics between the two were very different back in water 7.

In classic Luffy -way, he is determined to take the fight for Big MOM when the crew violates the whole of Cake Island to save Sanji, but despite his training and abilities he can not even land a scratch on her. Thanks to her mastery of armament Haki, combined with her army of homies that always protects her, Big Mom proves too much for the straw hats to handle, and a much greater threat than Luffy initially realized.
