Matin is in the chapel and agrees to follow the player back to Weynon Priry.
Find the heir is very early in OblivionThe main line line, so players tend to meet it very early or very late, depending on whether they have avoided the main line. The reason behind these different experiences is OblivionThe enemy scaling system and how it is linked to the player's character. Players with a level between 1-10 will meet low level Daedra like Scamps and Clannfear, while higher level players will face much more difficult enemies such as Daedroth, Atronachs and high level Clannfear.
The pros and cons of making kvatch at higher or lower levels
Surviving meetings like this is difficult enough on their own, but breaking the siege of Kvatch also includes a group of allied Kvatch guards and three members of the imperial clock that heroically joins the battle after seeing the smoke from the road. Unlike the enemies, these characters do not peel with the hero. While they can handle the Daedra Army at lower levels, it is more difficult to keep them alive at level 15 onwards, with a high probability that only one or two will survive.
However, those who want a more cinematic and Lore-friendly experience can consider finding the heir at a higher level. The siege of Kvatch is an important moment in Tamriel's history, and to ensure the most brutal of Daedra Raze Cyrodiil's largest city outside the capital creates a more difficult tone and message. While the assignment is easier to complete at lower levels and is more likely to result in a happy ending with everyone in the guard surviving, seeing the city besieged by nothing but low -level scamps is not really the massive invasion described by the story.
Another consideration is the opening of Oblivion Gates over Cyrodiil. Since they are only to be opened after finding the heir is finished, players who do not want to deal with them while they do fraction and side assignments to either wait or end the main line at one time.
