It has become something of a meme among A bit The community that the author Eiichiro Oda hesitates to ever kill a character, although it seems guaranteed that they should be looking for the bill. However, this also means that when a sudden death occurs, it is even more shocking and influencing and reminds fans that despite the fun and lively aesthetics of A bitIt can still be quite dark and emotionally every now and then.

A bit: 5 most overrated devil fruits
Some devil fruits are not as good as you can initially perceive them as. Here are the most overestimated by the group.
Sometimes the death of a character can have a fairly large impact on the broader story, while at other times it can be more of a personal loss for those closest to the individual. Either way, it's time to look back at the most shocking deaths ever occurred in A bitranked by how unexpected and influencing they were.
8
Monet
A simple slip-up of Caesar Clown results in Monet biting the dust
-
First appearance: Section 581
Caesar -Clown may be the primary antagonist in the punk, but before the straw hats can reach him they must first go through Monet. After it looks like Zoro splits Monet into two during their battle, it would have been easy to assume that she would have lost her life right there and then, but in a miraculous way she manages to survive, at least, a little while longer.
Later in the arch, when the law starts to change around everyone's bodies and hearts, Caesar incorrectly stabs the heart of Monet, after believing it is a smoker, resulting in her death. It is rare for ODA to kill a random side character in such a grizzly way, so it was a surprising death that also highlighted the clumsiness and violent nature of Caesar.
7
Kingbaum
The living tree that dreamed of spending the rest of his days with his fiancé caught by Prometheus
-
First appearance: section 797
Although he is one of Big Mom's Homies, Kingbaum decides to give Luffy and Nami a helping hand through large parts of the entire Cake Island arch. Near the end, it seems that he may be able to live out the rest of his days with his tree drivers, but that plan goes Haywire when Big Mom starts chasing him, after he tries to carry the straw hats to safety.
Family
A bit: 8 most over the top story arches
A bit is already known for being over-the-top, but these stories take it to a whole new level.
It would actually be Prometheus who would be the one who finally caught up with Kingbaum and tells the tree that his treacherous acts mean that he can no longer reside on the island. As a result, Kingbaum is burned to a sharp, which makes an incredibly sad scene that never fails to make tears flow.
6
IZO
IZO takes one last stand to protect the straw hats from CP-0
-
First appearance: section 461
Although many fans will remember IZO for their actions during the raid at Onigashima, this terrible Samurai debuted in the series back in Marineford, where they fought together with Whitebeard's crew to save ACE. Although he was a useful ally in Wano Arc for Luffy and the crew, Izo would eventually meet their end in the hands of the CP-0, after refusing to let them get hold of the straw hats.
While Izo is not the only red scabbard losing his life in Wano, his story in the story and the general intrigue of his character still makes a shocking death. In Anime, IZO at least has one last spotted confrontation before he bites the ball, showing how deadly they are with their double guns.
5
Pedro
Pedro sacrifices himself to let the carrot and the others escape the whole cake
-
First appearance: section 754
It does not take long for Luffy and the straw hats to realize to save Sanji from the connections of Big Mom will not be a walk in the park, given that she has a whole army of loyal children who will keep her protected. On one occasion throughout the Cake Island arch, Luffy and the gang come up against Perosperso; The oldest of big mom's children who turn out to be a real tower in the side of the straw hats.
To slow down Perospepero and his coats so that Luffy, carrot and the others can escape and continue their journey, strap Pedro with dynamite before setting the explosives sky high. Despite the heroic gesture, PeroSpero managed to survive, but Pedro still deserves a huge amount of respect for putting down his own life for the sake of the carrot and her new friends.
4
Yasuie
One of the most heartbreaking deaths in the series that shows Orochi's cruelty
-
First appearance: Section 916
When Zoro first encounters Yasuei near the start of the Wano-Bågen, he seems to be a little more than a happy resident who seems a little too happy for his own good. However, as the arc continues, it is revealed that Yasuie is one of the many victims of the smiling fruits, which prevents him from expressing any negative or serious feelings.
Family
A bit: 9 most stubborn characters
These characters in one paragraph remain firmly loyal to their beliefs and ideologies, which makes them incredibly stubborn as a result.
After helping the straw hats in his plan to take down Kaido, he is eventually revealed, crucified, tortured and shot several times, while the spectators can do nothing but laugh at his misery because of the fruits. Yasuie's death really came out of nowhere and showed how sadistic the evil orchi is that he can treat his people in such a vicious way.
3
White thread
Whitebeard loses his life not long after he was introduced to the story
-
First appearance: section 485
Whitebeard's debut scene makes it quite clear that this is a guy who is far past his premiere. Although his health can deteriorate, he is still among one of the strongest and most formidable characters in the entire series, so when he shows up in Marineford, it seems likely that he could see it without problems given everything he has been through.
This became almost a reality, as Whitebeard managed to do it until the end of the war, even after getting an absurd amount of wounds, with half of his face missing and a gigantic hole visible in the chest. After ACE's death, in pairs with the astonishing amount of damage he had taken, Whitebeard finally lost his life but continued to stand as a symbol for the rest of its crew.
2
Kungskobra
Cobra knew a little too much, and as a result paid the ultimate price
-
First appearance: Section 91
Reverie should have been a common meeting between the world's leaders, but it quickly becomes much more unfortunate when IMU has been revealed. This mysterious creature is more than willing to deal with anyone who learns a little too much about the world government and Void Century, which was Cobra's biggest mistake.
As a result of his forbidden knowledge, Cobra was brutally murdered by Cobra and left for the dead, which was an incident that swung the world to its core. But he also sacrificed his own life to let Sabo escape, so at least he died for nothing.
1
Port gas D. Ace
No one could have guessed that the rescue assignment would end in ACE's unclear death
-
First appearance: Section 91
While a potentially full war between the marinas and the pirates had bubbled for a while, it was the catch of Ace that started the Marineford conflict. When Luffy and Whitebeard's crew arrive at Marineford to save their brother, every fan assumed that the plan would go without any problems. After all, Ace seemed as if he were going to play a pretty big role in the future and still had plenty of trips to go in with his own crew.
That is why Ace's sudden death in the hands of Akainu came as such a shock, with many fans, even today, which still grieves over the tragic loss of this beloved character. Ace's death pressed Luffy to grow and mature as a character, and he has been mentioned several times since then, including in Wano of tame, but it is still one of the most heartbreaking moments of the entire series, no doubt.
