In it One Piece franchise, many of the most powerful characters owe their strength to skill with a weapon of some kind, usually taking the form of a sword. Due to their skill with these weapons and mastery of Haki, these characters are often remembered as powerful figures unmatched in One Piece.

As such, the weapons themselves tend to be as legendary as their wielders, often belonging to one of the named weapon categories, or 'Meito'. Although the strongest weapons in the world are the highest classes, there are a few weapons that are particularly powerful, but their classifications are currently unknown, so let's break down what these are.

Napoleon is one of the strongest homies of them all

Craftsman: Big Mom

As one of the scariest Yonko and perhaps the most durable character we've seen so far, Big Mom is among the strongest characters in One Pieceand she uses a giant sword called Napoleon. Due to her Devil Fruit powers, she imbued the sword with a large portion of her own soul, making this weaponry one of the strongest Homies of them all that had a life of its own but was also very destructive. But the fans were never given an official categorization, although Supreme Grade is not completely off the table for this weapon.

Hassaikai was taken by a true monster

To this day, Kaido is considered by many to be the strongest opponent Luffy has ever faced, and his main fighting method was through the use of Haki and his massive iron Kanabo, the Hassaikai. Despite possessing one of the strongest Devil Fruits ever, Kaido primarily fought with Haki, and his Kanabo had been by his side since his early days in the Rocks Pirates, so it's entirely possible that, through Kaido's many battles, the overall ranking of this weapon grew to some of the higher ranks.

Gryphon can have a legendary Devil Fruit Ability

Despite being the greatest Haki user of the current age, Shanks is also one of the world's strongest swordsmen who is considered an equal to Mihawk himself. His sword, the Gryphon, has a storied history as his companion from when he was still a teenager, leading many to believe that it may be a top grade in truth. Additionally, his fight against Eustass Kid saw his Divine Departure attack take the form of a massive Gryphon before it was released, leading many to believe that this sword may have eaten the Gryphon Mythical Zoan Devil Fruit, just like his brother's blade and Cerberus.

Cerberus has an incredibly powerful ability

Craftsman: St. Figarland Shamrock

Like his twin brother, Shamrock uses a sword as his main method of fighting, automatically making him one of the strongest swordsmen in the series. His sword, Cerberus, has eaten the legendary Inu Inu no Mi, Model: Cerberus Mythical Zoan Devil Fruit, giving him the power to summon the legendary beast to do his bidding. Due to the fact that each member of the Figarland family has a similar blade, many fans believe that they all have Mythical Zoan abilities and can all even be top tier weapons.

Harald's sword was a gigantic and powerful weapon

King Harald is remembered today as the strongest of the old era along with Davy D. Xebec, and his main fighting method was by using a massive broadsword. Due to his unparalleled mastery of Conqueror's Haki and his overall strength, he is spoken of in the same breath as other legends such as Xebec, Roger, Garp, and Whitebeard, and since two of these characters were confirmed to use Supreme Grade weapons, many believe that Harald did as well.

Eclipse was the legendary blade of a legendary pirate

Davy D. Xebec is known as the greatest pirate that time forgot, and his strength is among the greatest that overall history has ever shown. Like most other top-tier fighters, Xebec used a sword as his main method of combat, with Oda revealing his saber, the Eclipse, as one of the strongest weapons ever, capable of destroying entire swathes of islands without even being imbued with Haki. As with Harald, Xebec's placement alongside Roger and Whitebeard more or less confirms his armament as a weapon of the highest order.

Elbaf's giantsword is still a great mystery

When the Straw Hats finally arrived in the fabled land of the giants, one thing that stood out to fans when they saw the island in its entirety was the monumental sword sticking out of it. Although subsequent chapters would reveal the titanic size of the ancient giants and even Loki's enormous size increase in his Mythical Zoan form, the blade itself is still far too large to be used by anyone in the current story, so it and its overall classification remain a great mystery.

Ragnir is the legendary weapon of the ruler of Elbaf

Ragnir was originally a massive warhammer that was fed the Ratatoskr Mythical Zoan fruit, which brought it to life and made it infinitely stronger as it could now cause lightning and ice. This weapon guarded the Nidhogg fruit for generations, meaning no giant before Loki was ever considered strong or worthy enough to claim it for themselves for 800 years, and its reputation is so legendary that even Imu herself tells of its presence. Ragnir is easily one of the strongest things in One Piece story.

The Nemesis may be the original high-end weapon

Driver: St. Nerona Imu

Of all the surprises to come after Imu's full reveal, Nemesis has to be one of the biggest. This weaponry originally took the form of a polearm that appeared to be a black blade, though its most terrifying ability was that Imu could manipulate its true form on a whim, turning it into a mace, ball and chain, and eventually a massive blade called Nemesis, the Sword of Judgment. It goes without saying that this weapon is a top class, although some fans even believe that it is at a level even above that.
