Born from the young Ten-Tails, Code's Claw Marks, and Claw Grimes, the Shinju clones are sentient human god trees who become the strongest villains in Boruto: Two Blue Vortex. Led by the powerful Jura, the Shinju clones aim to devour their targets in an effort to better understand themselves rather than blindly follow their instincts.

Shinju clones can fly and hover naturally
Due to the Shinju clones' generic Otsutsuki traits, they naturally have true flight abilities. Simple hovering and aerial movement come second nature to these humanoid tree gods, allowing them to maneuver freely through the battlefield, avoid ground-based attacks, and engage opponents from any angle they choose.
Among the Shinju clones, Jura is the one who most often displays true flight in battle. He first displayed this ability during his heated encounter with Himawari, then used it again while stalking and fighting Boruto and Kawaki in the Land of the Wind, highlighting how naturally he fights from the air.

Shinju Hidari's Chidori is imperfect but deadly
As long as Sasuke Uchiha is out of commission, Shinju Hidari has unlimited access to his abilities, including the iconic Chidori. Sasuke can only return to normal once Hidari's Thorn Soul Bulb is retrieved.
As for Hidari himself, he naturally inherited Sasuke's signature techniques, giving him instant mastery of Lightning and Fire Release along with Wood Release shared by all Shinju Clones. While Hidari's Chidori is still imperfect with his lack of the Sharingan, he is still capable of wielding the technique with immense power.

Shinju Ryu's Iron Sand is hard to counter
Unlike Mamushi, whose signature ability is Division, Shinju Ryu possesses Magnet Release, which gives him complete control over Iron Sand. As a Shinju Clone created from Shinki of the Sand Village, Ryu naturally inherited his template's signature techniques, giving him instant access to one of the most formidable kekkei genkai in the series.
With Iron Sand, Ryu overpowered and captured Code with ease. Ryu can also shape iron sand into various constructs, including a fake Thorn Soul Bulb used to trick Sarada and the others. He is capable of coating his targets with iron sand as well, manipulating them into attacking each other. To make matters worse, Ryu can transform his own body into iron sand at will, greatly enhancing his mobility, defense, and overall lethality in battle.

Shinju Mamushi's division prowess makes numbers his greatest weapon
Each of the Shinju clones in Boruto has a unique ability, and in Shinju Mamushi's case, he was able to weaponize his division powers during his attempt to devour Eida in Konoha. His division ability is similar to the Shadow Clone Jutsu, but the main difference is that it doesn't split his chakra between the clones, allowing each division to retain its full combat capability.
Mamushi's division ability allows him to create countless perfect copies of himself, allowing him to attack in massive groups during his attack on Konoha. The downside to Mamushi's division ability is that the more clones he creates, the less intelligence and rational judgment each one retains. Even so, they never lose their relentless bloodlust, making them dangerous despite their weakened reasoning.

The Shinju Clones' Claw Marks give them exceptional mobility
Code's reckless decision to apply his Claw Marks to the young Ten-Tails ultimately gave the Shinju Clones access to their own overpowered shinjutsu. This ability has become one of their most versatile techniques, allowing them to instantly travel between Claw Marks, move across the battlefield, or make deadly surprise attacks.
For example, when Boruto appeared in the Land of the Wind, Jura immediately tracked him down by coming out through a nearby Claw Grime attached to one of the Code's Claw Marks. This allowed Jura to reach Boruto almost immediately, forcing a life-or-death battle in Two blue Vortexes.

Jura's Tailed Beast Ball is unlike any other
As Naruto fans know, the Tailed Beast Ball is one of the most destructive techniques in the series, capable of wiping out large areas and annihilating almost anything caught in its direct path. While most users must spend time charging a Tailed Beast Ball before firing it, Jura of the Shinju Clones can unleash the technique instantly, allowing him to bombard his opponents without any noticeable build-up.
Jura can also change the size and shape of his Tailed Beast Balls, firing them as compact projectiles or concentrating them into devastating laser-like energy beams. He can even control the timing of a Tailed Beast Ball's detonation, choosing whether it explodes on direct impact or after a deliberate delay to catch his opponents off guard.

The Shinju clones' wooden drop makes them nearly invincible
Whenever a Shinju Clone fights on the battlefield, they primarily rely on Wood Release for offensive and defensive purposes. Matsuri, for example, used Wood Release to manipulate roots and even turn her outfit into deadly wooden structures. The same goes for Jura, who surprises his opponents by creating massive Wood Release structures in an instant.
When it comes to defense, Jura relies on Wood Release to manifest massive tree branches, which he can fuse with to regenerate lost body parts with remarkable speed. Thanks to this regenerative ability, taking Jura down is an incredibly difficult task, as even lethal damage can be restored, making him an exceptionally resilient opponent.

The Shinju clones' dual Rinnegan make them even scarier
Although it is difficult for ordinary shinobi to access the Rinnegan, the Shinju clones were born with them. Being the offspring of the young Ten-Tails, who already have the Rinnegan, they naturally have access to these terrible Otsutsuki dojutsu. However, for some reason, most of the Shinju clones do not rely on the Rinnegan's abilities in active combat.
Jura is the only Shinju clone confirmed to use the Rinnegan in such a devastating manner, using it to fire a Tailed Beast Ball directly from his eyes. Unlike Jura, the other Shinju clones rely primarily on Wood Release and the unique abilities inherited from their original templates rather than utilizing the Rinnegan's techniques to overpower their opponents.
