From Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero, Goku and Vegeta have become gods much more powerful than most of the multiverse. Although surprisingly rare, Dragon Ball SuperThe biggest and most intense battles are showdowns between the gods. When the gods fight in Dragon Ballthe whole universe can feel it and there is no telling who wins – and Dragon Ball Super 2 is about to present the best God VS God battle in the franchise.

Goku VS Toppo raised the stakes for the Tournament of Power

Goku vs Toppo

Goku's fight with Toppo in the Zeno Exhibition Match is a major turning point for Dragon Ball Super. Zamasu proved that other universes had beings powerful enough to threaten the multiverse, but at the end of the day he was still a natural born God. Toppo is another matter. Like Goku, Toppo was a mortal who became a God through training and he shows Goku what a divine martial artist is actually capable of.

Goku VS Toppo in Dragon Ball Super anime is a good enough ending to the Zeno show, but it really shines in the manga where Goku uses each Super Saiyan form to slowly test Toppo's abilities. Interestingly, Toppo is so set on his God Ki that he sees right through Goku's tactics and demands that he use Super Saiyan Blue. After a brief battle, Toppo expertly counters Goku's final attack, knocking him out of bounds and letting him know that the Tournament of Power will be anything but a cakewalk.

Vegito VS Fused Zamasu was a legendary comeback for the strongest Potara fusion

Vegito was the strongest character at the end of Dragon Ball Zbut the introduction of God Ki in Dragon Ball Super meant he fell hard… until he finally returned in the Goku Black Saga. Super Saiyan Blue Vegito's fight with Fused Zamasu is one of the series' best, both in anime and manga. Vegito VS Fused Zamasu was the first truly amazingly animated fight in Dragon Ball Super anime, with animation, art direction and choreography competing DBZis the best.

Seeing Vegito strangle Zamasu is extremely upsetting after how much damage he did to Future Trunks' timeline. The Dragon Ball Super manga goes a step further, with Zamasu Never get an edge over Vegito. Vegito's full power on display shows how strong Goku and Vegeta have grown now that they are gods. Vegito is not only strong enough to beat Zamasu, he is powerful enough to literally make him fear for his life despite being immortal.

Ultra Instinct Moro vs Ultra Instinct Goku

Dragon Ball Super 2 officially introduces the strongest evil god for Goku to fight

At the height of his evil godly power, Moro uses Ultra Instinct to give Goku the biggest and most challenging fight in Dragon Ball Super.

Vegeta VS Toppo is one of Dragon Ball Super Anime's best fights

Goku's fight with Toppo is good, but Vegeta's fight with Toppo is greatespecially in Dragon Ball Super anime. The anime version of Tournament of Power features some of the best animation and art direction in the entire franchise, and looks almost like a modernized version of Dragon Ball Z at times. Vegeta and Toppo both show how deadly and chaotic a battle between Gods of Destruction can be.

Even if Vegeta hadn't become Beerus' disciple at this point, Super Saiyan Blue Evolved is an incredibly powerful form that allows him to deal and tank absurd levels of damage. On the flip side, Toppo's Destroyer Form gives him complete command over his Hakai abilities, which he uses to try and eliminate Vegeta. In a life or death battle, Vegeta VS Toppo would be even more insane, but even limited by the tournament rules, the two put in a fight that makes Goku's first battle with Jiren blush.

The God of Destruction Battle Royale is the manga's best addition to the Tournament of Power

One of the best changes Toyotarou makes in the Dragon Ball Super manga replaces Gohan and Fat Buu's fight in the Zeno Exhibition Match with a battle royal between all twelve Gods of Destruction. To this day, this fight is still that only once all twelve destroyers actually fight each other, establishing a clear hierarchy of power among the strongest gods in the multiverse. Unexpectedly, a battle between twelve Destroyers is chaotic, violent and difficult to follow.

What's really striking about Gods of Destruction Battle Royale is how quickly most of the gods are eliminated. In seconds, the arena is covered in dust and debris that only the most skilled gods can maneuver around. In the end, Beerus, Quitela and Belmod are the last men standing. Notably, Beerus busts out Ultra Instinct during the fight and dodges attacks effortlessly while Quitela happens to make her way through weaker enemies and Belmond strategically waits for the right moment to deliver his finishing blows.

Games, Super Dragon Ball Heroes, and official What If scenarios feature the strongest versions of Vegito in existence – some even stronger than Gogeta.

Vegeta VS Goku Black is an incredibly strategic showdown

Super Saiyan Rose Goku Black vs Super Saiyan God Vegeta

Vegeta's fight with Goku Black in Dragon Ball Super Animes are generally well-animated and memorable, but there's something really special about their main battle in the series Dragon Ball Super manga. By training in the Hyperbolic Time Chamber, Vegeta finally unlocks the Super Saiyan God. More importantly, Vegeta learns how to use Super Saiyan God and Super Saiyan Blue as a mixed form, similar to Goku's Kaioken.

In the manga, Super Saiyan Blue drains too much Ki to be activated more than once in a fight. In his Super Saiyan God form, Vegeta uses Suepr Saiyan Blue in a fraction of a second to severely injure Goku Black without losing his own Ki or stamina. Watching Vegeta learn from Goku is absolutely amazing and leads to one of the best battles in the Goku Black Saga. More importantly, Vegeta shows how far gods can go when they fight smart, not hard.

Goku VS Fused Zamasu is a 10/10 Battle in Manga

Goku uses Hakai on Zamasu

After Vegito failed to defeat Fused Zamasu in Dragon Ball Super anime, Future Trunks unlocks Super Saiyan Rage and battles Zamasu himself as Goku Black Saga's final battle. The Dragon Ball Super manga goes in a completely different direction, and is all the better for it. Until Moro, Goku VS Fused Zamasu was the single best match in DBS manga. Finally mastering Super Saiyan Blue, Goku gains enough strength to overwhelm Zamasu.

The showdown is an expertly drawn out battle where Goku does everything to defeat Fused Zamasu once and for all. It's also one of the best displays of Super Saiyan Blue's power in the series, something the anime often struggled with. The fight choreography is electric, as Toyotarou owns every page with iconic panel after panel. Goku knocking out Hakai to literally erase Fused Zamasu from existence is an outstanding moment that needs to be in Dragon Ball Super remake.

Goku VS Beerus remains one of the best fights in Dragon Ball history

Goku's revenge with Beerus at the end of Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods is outstanding, and it will be even better when Dragon Ball Super: Beerus finally redoing it with the animation, choreography and art direction it always deserved. Despite being held back, Super Saiyan God Goku VS Beerus is a great spectacle that gives Goku incredible character development, while showing just how dangerous a fight between two gods can be.

Goku and Beerus' fight literally shakes the universe Dragon Ball Superimplying that two gods going at each other at full power could split the fabric of space and time in two (something Gogeta basically does with Broly in Dragon Ball Super: Broly). The fact that Goku hates having to perform the god ritual to catch up with Beerus is an excellent character choice, as is having Goku lose the fight with humility, which gives Dragon Ball full circle to Goku's fight with Jackie Chun where he learned that there will always be someone better—and that's a good thing.

Perfected Ultra Instinct Goku VS Ultra Instinct Moro will break the internet in Dragon Ball Super 2

Goku's final battle with Moro is by far the single best fight in Dragon Ball Super. Toyotarou's fight choreography and panels are nothing short of superb, rivaling some of Akira Toriyama's best work in the original Dragon Ball manga. Best of all, the emotional stakes are the highest they'll ever be Dragon Ball Super 2with Goku's motivation from his relationship with Merus and the decision to protect Earth as an earthling.

The fight itself is also just fantastic contextually. Goku has finally mastered Perfected Ultra Instinct, while Moro has absorbed Meru's powers, becoming an angel hybrid and harnessing his own version of Ultra Instinct. Seeing two Ultra Instinct warriors fight at full power makes for the most intense battle of gods in the entire series. When Dragon Ball Super: The Galactic Patrol finally animates Goku and Moro's final battle, it's almost guaranteed to break the internet on an even bigger scale than Goku's first fight with Jiren in the Tournament of Power.
