Players looking for something new to play can check out three paid premium games for the weekend, thanks to a Free Play Days promotion available between now and June 28. Considering how many players have probably dropped $100 on a pre-order of GTA 6it makes sense to try and find something cheap/free to maintain in the meantime.
That said, fans should be aware that this is only for a limited time and not a free-to-keep situation. In other words, players can download and play these games for free for now, but they won't be able to keep them when they expire on June 28. The other catch is that players will need an Xbox Game Pass subscription, which is at least cheaper now than it was thanks to the removal of new Call of Duty game.
Xbox Game Pass subscribers can download at no additional cost Blades of Fire, House Flipper 2and Assetto Corsa Competizione and play them for free until June 28. Gamers can simply navigate to the Microsoft Store via the links below and download these games to either Xbox One or Xbox Series X/S consoles. On the consoles themselves, players must click on the Subscriptions tab in the Xbox Store, navigate to Free Play Days and download from there.
Blades of Fire
Blades of Fire is an action RPG from MercurySteam, the studio behind Metroid Dread and Castlevania: Lords of Shadow. Players take control of Aran de Lira as he battles through a dark fantasy world where steel has become a source of immense power. Combat places a heavy emphasis on targeting specific body parts, weapon durability, and enemy weaknesses (eg God of war mixed with soulslike elements).
- Metacritic Metascore: 71 (indicates mixed or average scores)
- Can you beat it before the free-to-play campaign ends?? At 35-50 hours long, it's unlikely.

House Pinball 2
House Pinball 2 takes the original's cozy simulation gameplay formula and expands it with larger projects, improved building tools and a new sandbox mode. Players clean, paint, decorate, tear down walls and completely redesign dilapidated properties for profit. While it sounds simple on paper, the appeal comes from turning neglected homes into dream homes while enjoying a surprisingly satisfying gameplay loop. It's the gaming equivalent of binge-watching HGTV (and somehow losing three hours without realizing it).
- Metacritic Metascore: 79 (indicates generally favorable results)
- Can you beat it before the free-to-play campaign ends?? At 15-20 hours in length it is possible.

Assetto Corsa Competizione
Assetto Corsa Competizione is one of the most realistic racing simulators available on consoles. Officially licensed by the GT World Challenge series, it focuses on authentic GT racing with detailed car handling, dynamic weather, realistic tire handling and highly accurate recreations of real-life tracks. Unlike more arcade-focused racing games like Forza HorizonCompetition leans heavily towards simulation, making it particularly appealing to players who like to master all aspects of driving rather than just collecting cars and racing around open worlds.
