ZA DLC leak confirms 3 Pokémon's second mega evolution, no Mega Flygon

Pokemon Legends: ZA is officially out, but new DLC leaks are surfacing, confirming that three Pokemon that already have a Mega Evolution will get a second one, but no Mega Flygon is included. There is a lot of hype around Pokemon Legends: ZA thanks to its renewed focus on Mega Evolutions, especially since it also includes a whopping 26 new ones.

Some Pokemon Legends: ZA pre-orders are canceled without explanation

Pokemon Legends: ZAs new Mega Evolutions have only been partially revealed with pre-launch trailers. Nevertheless, in his last appearance online before the launch, Pokemon Legends: ZAs Mega Dimension DLC was revealed, teasing players with even more new Mega Evolutions in the form of Mega Raichu X and Mega Raichu Y. It became apparent that the DLC would add many more new Megas, and now leaks confirm that there will be 16 Mega Evolutions for players to catch, including three Megas for critters who already have one. However, the list does not include the fan favorite Flygon.

Say hello to Pokemon Legends: ZA's new Mega Absol, Garchomp and Lucario

So far, Pokemon Legends: ZAs DLC will include 16 new Mega Evolutions based on leaks, with others possibly tied to events or post-game content, such as Mega Heatran, Darkrai, and Zeraora. The list was shared on Twitter by Centro Leaks, and then confirmed as correct by the same user, stating that Pokemon Legends: ZA will add a second Mega for Absol, Garchomp and Lucario. The list includes:

  • Mega Raichu X

  • Mega Raichu Y

  • Mega Chimecho

  • Mega Absol

  • Mega Staraptor

  • Mega Garchomp

  • Mega Lucario

  • Mega Golurk

  • Mega Meowstic

  • Mega Crabominable

  • Mega Golisopod

  • Mega Magearna

  • Mega Scovillain

  • Mega Glitters

  • Mega Tatsugiri

  • Mega Baxcalibur

Specifically, this could be bad news for Flygon in Pokemon Legends: ZAas it is missing from the list and thus does not get a Mega Evolution. But fans of iconic animals like Absol, Garchomp and Lucario are getting a second Mega Evolution for these Pokemon, despite the originals being over 10 years old. It makes sense though, as Mega Absol, Garchomp, and Lucario were some of the most popular creatures in Gen 6.

Mega Flygon has been one of the most requested additions to Pokemon Legends: ZA as it was revealed that the game would add new Mega Evolutions, so it's sad to know that it won't be getting it in DLC either. Given that the DLC adds two Mega Raichu variants and purportedly has a second Mega Evolution for Absol, Garchomp, and Lucario, the absence of Mega Flygon from the base game and DLC stings even more.
