Xbox Game Pass Adds Super Cozy Day-One Open-World Games with Co-Op

Solarpunk is now available at Xbox Game Passafter joining its library as a day-one title. In addition to the cozy survival game, the service also received two other titles in the 24-hour period that ended on June 8, one of which reached Xbox Game Pass out of the blue.

The surprising addition is Wo Long: Fallen DynastyKoei Tecmo's popular soul-like game originally launched in March 2023. It was also a day-one addition to Microsoft's subscription service, which eventually left Xbox Game Pass in February 2025. Without warning, Wo Long returned to the service on June 7, shortly before its sequel was announced during the 2026 Xbox Games Showcase.

As is usually the case with Microsoft's showcase, Xbox Game Pass subscribers now have a whole new series of games to look forward to.

Cozy survival game Solarpunk joins 2 Xbox Game Pass tiers

After the unexpected addition, Solarpunk joined the service on June 8. The cozy open-world survival game was originally announced for Xbox Game Pass in late May 2026. While it's entering a crowded market, Solarpunk aims to stand out from its competitors with super-comfortable vibes, airship exploration, and robust automation features centered on solar-powered drones. As the name suggests, the game focuses on peaceful coexistence with nature, including both flora and fauna. It does not contain animal exploitation, but promotes symbiosis, such as caring for pigs so that they dig up truffles.

Apart from SolarpunkXbox Game Pass has also been added Uncontested on June 8. Originally released in late 2024, boxing sim launched to mixed reviews. Critics praised its attempt to push realism further and turn battle preparation into an RPG-like experience, but criticized its lackluster animations and lackluster commentary. The game's overall reception was still strong enough for developer Steel City Interactive to officially announce Undisputed 2 in April 2026.

With Solarpunk and UncontestedXbox Game Pass has now added five titles in June 2026. The month's roadmap continues tomorrow, June 9, when Persona 5 Royal reconnects to the service. A content-packed day is then scheduled for June 11, with three releases on day one: Frog Squad, Beastlyand Starseeker: Astroneer Expeditions.

The final title from this month's Wave 1 series is the 3D action platformer Junksterscheduled for release on June 16. The Wave 2 series, which is already confirmed to include Shift at midnight and Densh attackis also expected to be announced on the same day.
