Fans will get a new epilogue
Jujutsu Kaisen ended on a very positive note, with the likes of Yuji, Megumi, and Nobara, taking the reins of the new era. Yuji has officially inherited Gojo's dream, and fans know he will become a phenomenal wizard in the future. The world of JJK has changed quite a bit, with the higher ups of JJK society removed from power and a new order installed. That said, fans didn't actually get to see the new order feature at all. Many characters' storylines were left unresolved, and fans felt that the series could have been much better if the ending had been fleshed out a lot. thankfully, JJK gets a 16-page epilogue, which was announced on the Jump Festa 2025 stage for the series.
Jujutsu Kaisen will finally publish its final volume later this month, and with the volume, fans will get a new epilogue, which will elevate the end of the series to new levels. Fans who also like other Shonen series might remember it My Hero Academia recently received its epilogue. The epilogue fleshed out many of the characters' storylines, such as those surrounding Ochako Uraraka and Deku, which made an already exciting ending even better. Of course, the writer felt he had more freedom when tackling the epilogue, as the constraints that put him under weekly coverage of Shonen Jump no longer applied to him, and this meant that the characters were more free.
Similar logic would apply JJKand fans can see a different version of the characters. It is possible that JJK will get another time jump, and fans will surely be happy about it. Right now, not much information has been given to fans about the nature of the epilogue, but it has certainly raised a lot of questions, specifically regarding Gojo Satoru. It is safe to say that he has been the face of the series for many years, hence his death in JJK chapter 236 hit fans pretty hard. Fans were hoping for Gojo's return right up to the end of the series, and were disappointed when it didn't materialize. Now, JJK will continue with his epilogue, and fans hope that there will be an update on Gojo's future here.
Will Gojo return in JJK Epilogue?
A return for Gojo is highly unlikely here
The question of Gojo comes back in JJK epilogue or not is pretty exciting. Of course, it would be brilliant for the series if Gojo actually kept returning and played an active role in the story. But at this point, Gojo's return is simply wishful thinking. There is absolutely no way that Gege will see Gojo return to the story, because if he did, he would massively change the very last chapter of the story. Basically, Gojo entrusted his dream to Yuji, and this development would mean absolutely nothing if he was simply going to return in the very next chapter.
Haven't we had enough of Gojo Satoru already? – Gojo
As Gojo himself put it, the series has had enough of Gojo Satoru, and now it's time for the next generation to take the stage. Gojo even asked Yuji to seek a different type of strength than his own, which could be interpreted in many ways, but it is said that Gojo's time has come to an end and he did all he could do. His dream has now become Yuji's dream, and most importantly, his greatest dream of changing the Jujutsu Society has already been achieved. All that Gojo aspired to do has been done.

Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3 Reveals Key Visual For The Culling Game Arc
JJK has a lot planned for the fans. Key images for the Culling Game arc have just been revealed.
Of course, that doesn't mean that Gojo's ending was satisfying, because it's quite clear that the author dropped the ball on this character towards the end. There are still plot lines that are unresolved regarding Gojo, but with the ending of the last chapter, any hope of Gojo's return was dashed by the author. As such, fans waiting for JJK's next chapter should not expect a return from Gojo Satoru at this time.
Which characters will JJK Epilog focus on?
While the epilogue will definitely not feature Gojo in the current timeline, fans may actually get a flashback from this character. Gojo has been an active presence in JJK even after his death, largely through flashbacks. In the last few chapters, fans saw Gojo give a note to Nobara telling her where her mother was. Now fans officially know that JJK's epilogue will focus on Nobara, along with other characters. The part focusing on Nobara can be related to Gojo's message and her searching for her own mother.
Seek a different kind of strength from me, Yuji. – Gojo
Likewise, there are other characters that this epilogue will also focus on. Fans know that Ozawa will be central to the plot, and for those who don't remember, she's the same character who was once in love with Yuji. Of course, a relationship between these two characters never materialized, but now it's possible that Gege will build towards something in the epilogue.
Other characters that will be involved in JJK's epilogue is Panda and Uraume. While no one is interested in what happens to Panda in the epilogue, Uraume is a completely different story. Through the character of Uraume, fans could actually also explore more of Sukuna, and great mysteries about his character could actually be revealed. It's safe to say that JJK's epilogue is going to be absolutely massive, and while it's pretty short, it's going to reveal exciting bits of information for fans that they can only hope will be used for more content in the future. It's an exciting time to be a JJK fan, even though the manga is finished, because there's still an incredible anime adaptation to look forward to, as well as a massive epilogue.
Jujutsu Kaisen's final chapter, JJK 271, was finally released on September 29, 2024. Fans can read the series on Manga Plus and Shonen Jump apps.
