GFL2: Standard 5-star level list
The global launch version of Girls' Frontline 2 has a healthy roster of great characters, but as with all games in this genre, some are significantly better than others. Rerolling accounts is always an option, but doing so doesn't mean much if players don't know who to target in the starter banner.
If you're completely new to the franchise, you probably won't know which 5-star characters are the best. The following is a quick guide covering the basics of rerolling, as well as a general overview of each beginner banner character in GFL2 to help players get off to the best possible start.

How to reroll in Girls' Frontline 2
As in most other gacha games like HSRrolling back in GFL2 implies create a brand new account and start over. Players often roll over accounts to get high priority 5 star characters from the starting banner. This isn't absolutely necessary, but if you're the type who likes to be ahead of everyone else (or if you just want an easier time overall), rerolling can be an option.
Is it worth rerolling in GFL2?
The answer to this depends on the player. If you're okay with spending about 20 minutes going through the first few sequences of the game, then by all means do it. But you will eventually be able to earn all standard banner units if you play GFL2 long enough, so if you don't have the patience to create multiple accounts, or you just don't want to redo the opening missions repeatedly, you might as well stick with your first account.
You need 40 access privileges to get a guaranteed 5 star character from the beginner banner. For every other banner you need at least 80 moves.

Qiongjiu
Qiongjiu is all about performing Action Supports, which are basically follow-up shots that are triggered when an ally attacks an enemy. She can use Action Support up to three times per turn by default (plus one with her Ultimate buff), meaning she can continuously lay down damage on a target even after her turn ends. This makes Qiongjiu one of the best damage dealers in the game, and a very high priority unit to roll for early on. Fortunately, GFL2 is very friendly to F2P gacha players, so you should be able to get Qiongjiu eventually even if you didn't get her the first time.
Tololo
Tololo is much like Qiongjiu – her passive allows her to act multiple times per turn by giving her an extra action every time she attacks while her Confection Index (or skill points) are maxed. She can't shoot as many times as Qiongjiu per turn, but she can move, use skills, and re-move when she has an extra action, giving her more flexibility in battle. If you can't get Qiongjiu, at least try to get Tololo.
Mosin Nagant
Like the Nemesis, the Mosin Nagant is a long-range DPS character, but with a penchant for CC and provides extra shots with Action Support. She's not a terrible character to get early, but compared to Tololo and Qiongjiu, Mosin Nagant's damage is on the lower side. Still, players can get a ton of value from the crowd control effects baked into her kit, making her a worthwhile pick nonetheless.
Sabrina
Sabrina is a tank character like Groza. She thrives on the front lines, pelting enemies with AOE attacks while protecting allies by taunting targets and creating and destroying cover. The only reason Sabrina is so low in the priority order is because she is available via Weekly Boss battles. Getting this character as your first 5 star isn't terrible though, as she shines brighter when she gets enough duplicates. GFL2 gacha has a decent sin system too, so you should be able to dupe Sabrina in no time.
Peritya
Peritya is an AOE focused DPS with strong synergy with other AOE damage dealers. Due to her focus on area DPS, she will feel underwhelming at first, especially if you don't have characters that can deal area damage as well. But her value increases later when you get duplicates and a strong team to support her team. As such, Peritya's reroll value is not as high as the others.
Vepley
Vepley is generally not recommended as anyone's first 5 star. Players can get her for free from the starter quests, and while she's not part of the starter banner like the rest of the units listed here, players can still get her from the rest of the gacha banner. Vepley is a very mobile character who can knock enemies off the map, but since she has such low range compared to everyone else, she often ends up in bad positions, making her much less valuable.
