Although Dying Light is best known for its parkour and first person zombie-killing action, there is another important part of the gameplay loop that is equally important in DYING LIGHT: The Beast As it has always been done – crafts.
If you want to survive the dangers of Castor Woods, you will need to create as many weapons, healing objects and upgrades as possible, which requires lots of craft material. Here's how you find reliable All 22 craft parts.
While most ingredients listed below are quite easy to find if you go to the right place, it is worth remembering that you can also buy them in stores if you are struggling to find one of them.
Where to find each craft part and what they are used for
Jerk
One of the most common craft materials in the entire game, remains there is quite a lot everywhere. You get them from plundering bodies, go into dark zones and just explore the environment. Residues are used in a variety of craft recipes, but they are also Key to repair weapons. The hardware store in the Old Town is one of the best places to get leftovers.
Rags
The second most common material in the game is undoubtedly rags. Rags can be found from plundering dead bodies, but they are also over dark zonesEspecially Vanity stores like the one in the Old Town next to City Hall. Rags are very important because they are used to heal drawings as a bandage.
Management
Wires are another ingredient that you need lots of for crafts in dying light: the beast. This is another common ingredient found in many places, but usually by plundering electrical units and entering electrical stores. Mega Store America is a great place to find wires, and that is used in weapons mods and when creating explosives.
Weights
Weights are a common craft part that, like many things so far, is found throughout Castor Woods, although it is Especially bound to toolboxes and tool shops such as hardware store near Old Town's train station. Weights are Used to create and enhance weaponsSo they are quite invaluable.
Leaf
Leaves are a craft part Used when creating and repairing a weaponUsually when it has some kind of sharpness attached. They are quite easy to find, But they are usually located in toolboxes and tool shopsIn the same way as weights. This means going to the hardware store.
Resin
One of the most annoying materials in the game, Resin is used to create castable weapons and at modding weapons. It is found throughout Castor Woods, even if your Best bet when I chase down is to go to a pharmacyLike the one close to Hardwood Art Gallery in the Old Town.
Alcohol
Oh yeah, now we're talking. Alcohol is a common craft part used when creating healing objects or molotov cocktails. You will find alcohol around the world quite easily (just look for the bottles) But you can also get it from plundering enemies and go into the dark zones of the general store. Nate market near the cement gardens in the residential area is your best option for alcohol.
Leather
Leather is a fairly simple craft material to find, As it is located by looting enemies or entering a Vanity Store Dark Zone. Leather is used for gun craftsWhich makes it a very valuable resource overall.
Electrical parts
If you want to brave your weapon or craft explosivesYou will need electrical parts. Fortunately, they are quite common and found by plundering electrical units or by entering an electric store. As always, Mega Store America is one of the best places to plunder for electrical parts.
Cans
Easily the most common resource in the entire game can be found almost everywhere in Castor Woods, but they are lighter found by entering the kitchen or looting public stores such as Nate Market Dark Zone. Cans are used for Crafts that attract and grenades.
Feathers
Springs are one of the more annoyingly common ingredients in the beast, as they are a little difficult to track. To find them, You should plunder enemy bodies and go into Vanity stores like those in the villa area. Feathers are Used when creating arrows and elbow boltsSo they are quite practical to have.
Pigment
I had a hard time tracking pigment during my playthrough, which is annoying because they are used for weapons mods. To find them, You are best to plunder pharmacies dark zones like those in the old townor looking in bathrooms while in a house.
Honey
We are almost out in the woods with ordinary craft ingredients, but it's time to go back to them for honey. Honey is used for different boosters and is found in grovesAs in general, all outdoor areas mean.
Lavender
Speaking of groves, Lavender is another ingredient used for boosters found in groves. The same advice for honey and other flowers applies here, as you have to hunt around outdoor areas with many plants. However, lavender is one of the most annoying to find, so I recommend that you just buy it in the exile cave shop.
Chamomile
Get some deja vu here, as Chamomile is yet another creative part used for boosters and is in, you guessed it, groves. That's right, to find chamomile you have to start looting flowers when you're out. In the same way as chamomile, this is best bought in the exile cave shop because it is difficult to detect in nature.
Battery
We move on to the “rare” resources now, starting with batteries, as used in weapons modes as such that gives you electricity. To find a battery, You have to plunder electrical units or go over to an electric storeLike Mega Store America in Old Town.
Cleaning
Another “rare” resource here, cleaning material is are in kitchens of houses or at pharmacies like the two found in the old town. Cleaning materials are used in some weapons modesSo they are not so important to be overall even though they are “rare”.
Cordyceps
Perhaps the only “rare” resource that lives up to its name, Cordyceps is used when creating different boostersthat increases your health, speed or injury. The animal says they are in “groves”, as I have learned in the general outdoors. Watch out for mushrooms in the outdoor areas in the houses and in the forest.
Poppy
Speaking of outdoors, Another “rare” resource is poppy, which is also used when creating boosters. These red flowers are also available in groves, which means you have to go outside and look for plants and flowers to plunder.
Oxidant
The last “rare” resource on the list is oxidator, used when creating certain weapons modes. To find these you want to Look in the bathrooms in houses or go to a pharmacy dark zone. As we mentioned, there are several in the Old Town to look for.
Fuel
Fuel is mainly used to drive cars and when creating flamethrower fuelAnd it is not that difficult to track even though it is an “epic” resource. You just need to find fuel paths or plunder cars to get some.
Pistol parts
Weapons parts are another “epic” resource, and it makes sense because they are quite difficult to find. To get them, You have to disassemble weapons or buy them from suppliersand they are used when improving or creating firearms.
Weapons are very easily picked up by defeating human enemies. Make sure to plunder the weapons and then disassemble them.
