Where Winds Meets new vehicle building mechanic now lives in China
On November 28, Everstone introduced a mechanic called “Ink Structure” to Where winds meets Chinese servers, which allow players to assemble components to create their own vehicles. Gameplay footage shared on Twitter shows it being used to craft helicopters, carts, scooters and more, and users will almost certainly push it to more extreme heights, as they have with the very similar Ultrahand ability in The tears of the kingdom. Zelda fans have used The tears of the kingdoms building mechanics to recreate Star Wars vehicles, crafting battle robots and more, and given how open Ink Structure seems, it's only a matter of time before Where winds meets view of the system shows the same creativity.
Ink Structure is currently only available to players in China, but as with the game's other systems, it will be rolled out to a global audience in the future, although Everstone has not specified when this will happen. What is clear, however, is that the mechanics will have a huge impact on gameplay. In addition to giving players more ways to traverse the world and take on tough enemies, Ink Structure also introduces new collectibles, as there will be components scattered across the map, some with special abilities. While some Where winds meet activities are only available in solo mode, Ink Structure also comes with multiplayer aspects, as users can share blueprints for the vehicles they create.
Beyond Ink Texture, Where winds meet Devs have teased several improvements coming to the game in future updates. These include a fix for solo mode lag issues scheduled to arrive in mid-December, Steam Deck compatibility, improved visual performance on PS5, and translation optimizations.
