Trailblazers kicks off 2025 with some exciting new content with the launch of Honkai: Star Rail Version 3.0. This major patch will include a new planet and the large cast of characters that comes with it. Some will follow Honkai: Star Rails latest playable path, which adds variety to gameplay and team building. Some quality of life upgrades will also grace version 3.0. HSR has been pretty tight-lipped about some of these updates, but there are some official media and leaked content that help discuss each of them in depth.
According to MiHoYo, Honkai: Star Rail Version 3.0 will launch around January 2025. Some estimate that it will specifically be released on January 14, 2025 on North American servers and on January 15, 2025 on Asian, TW, HK, MO and European servers. This is going to be a big patch with brand new environments and characters, so Trailblazers should clear their storage in anticipation of this update. Those looking to pick up the brand new banners coming to 3.0 should start stocking up on Stellar Jades now, as they will likely dominate the endgame meta when the new Path is introduced.

Honkai: Star Rail 3.0: Enter Amphoreus
Black Swan has mentioned that Amphoreus is a world that even Akivili has not visited. Meanwhile, Owlbert says that this planet is a place of battle between three paths. One of them will likely be the new Path of Remembrance. However, there is no official information yet on what the others are. The trailer for this new planet also discussed its history, which included all the hallmarks of ancient Greek myths, such as gods, titans, and dramatic betrayal. It's not hard to see why some Trailblazers are dying to start the 3.0 questline.
Memory lane
Characters following this path will have named entities called “Memospriter”. Here is what is known so far about them:
- Memo sprites have specialized roles in a party: According to HSRs latest livestream, Memoprites can take on different tasks in battle and have different specializations. Some summons may focus on damaging and eliminating enemies, while others may take a more supportive role by healing, buffing, or protecting allies.
- Memoprites could receive buffs from teammates: The livestream also illustrated that shields like Aventurine's Fortified Wager can protect Memoprites. Sunday's Skill and Ultimate can also advance that summon's actions and improve their damage.
Herta, Aglaea and Remembrance Trailblazer
Two new banners and an exciting Path switch for Trailblazer will also be released in 3.0.
- Herta: Herta's real version is an Ice-Erudition character as her puppet, but her limited 5-star status means she'll likely have a more powerful kit.
- Aglaia: This is the first playable Remembrance character (excluding Remembrance Trailblazer). HSR. She uses the Lightning element and uses what looks like a mannequin with a saber as her Memosprite.
- Remembrance Trailblazer: This road switch will also change the Trailblazer's Element to Ice. Their Memosprite looks like a cute flying animal with fluffy pink fur.
Wishful Resin and Variable Dice
This new version will also include two new ways for Trailblazers to obtain their ideal relic stats:
- Wishful Resin: Trailblazers can use this resource with Self-Modeling Resin once to obtain a relic with an ideal main state and a chosen sub state. They can also consume four Wishful Resins to gain two sub-stats of their choice.
- Variable Dice: This allows players to reroll a level 15 Relic's stat upgrades. They can then choose to apply the new improvements or keep the old ones.
According to reliable leaker HomDGCat, players can get these rewards through the Nameless Honor Battle Pass. There is also a chance that Wishful Resin will be included in 3.0's login rewards, events, and permanent quests. However, it is important to note that these changes and additions are based on pre-release and leaked information. Players should prepare for changes based on the new information from HSRs “Paean of Era Nova” special, which will begin streaming on January 1, 2025, at 7:30 PM or when 3.0 officially launches on January 15.
