Think of Favors as daily quests that have been changed to a more story-driven approach. In terms of pure gameplay, they aren't all that different from the daily quests you've done up until now, but if you care about exposition and stories that keep you immersed in the world of ESO just a little bit more, and this change will definitely be positive for you.

You can get Favors ESO by visiting tier one cities (Ebonheart, Skywatch and Aldcroft) and interacting with the Freerunner message boards found in them. When you pick up a favor from the board, you get your daily task, and when you're done, go back to the board to receive your rewards.

When you complete a service, you will receive a notification from the customers who posted the job you just completed. The client varies by city, and so does the story that unfolds with each service you complete. In short, focus on doing favors in a city if you want to experience any story ESO the team cooks.

What are dynamic encounters in ESO?

Dynamic encounters are similar to the various world events (such as Dark Anchors and Oblivion Portals) you see in different parts of Tamriel. What sets them apart, however, is that dynamic encounters are narrative, multi-stage activities that involve more than just killing waves upon waves of enemies.

You will know if a dynamic meeting is active if the marker in the image above is on your map. When you approach the icon, you will automatically join the dynamic encounter along with everyone else nearby. Complete the encounter to receive a shower of XP and a pack of rewards.

Keep in mind that the difficulty of Dynamic Encounters scales based on the number of players participating, and since it's an overworld activity, ESO Challenge difficulty settings will affect you as well. Still, these shouldn't be hard to finish if there's a whole doomstack of people trying to finish the event with you.

At the time of writing, Dynamic Encounters are only available in Auridon, Glenumbra, and Stonefalls. If you miss an appointment, a new one will start approximately 30 minutes after the previous one ends.
