The world of Genshin Impact contains characters of various kinds. Some of the strongest characters in the game's history are usually gods and monsters. However, normal sight-wearing civilians are also part of the playable cast. These individuals do not have otherworldly powers and are much more grounded.

Of course, they make up for some of the weakest Genshin Impact character-wise. Funnily enough, many of the characters below are very strong as playable units. Of the 89 playable characters in the game, these are weakest Genshin Impact characters based on the game's lore.

10 Hu Tao

Hu Tao is one of the strongest playable characters in Genshin Impact. However, her actual strength in the game's lore is far from what players are used to when using her in the game. Hu Tao's knowledge of death and the afterlife is certainly interesting, but she explicitly states that she does not like fighting.

She also has no notable feats of strength or power. There is a possibility that she could become powerful in the future, but as it stands, Hu Tao is definitely one of them weakest characters in Genshin Impacts lore.

9 Baizhu

Baizhu is a doctor from Liyue who is a master of medical arts thanks to Changsheng, the white snake with whom he has a contract. This contract essentially drains Baizhu's life force at the cost of him being able to cure and save thousands of lives.

Baizhu is determined to make himself Changsheng's final host and end the cycle to prevent further deaths. His pursuit of immortality is commendable, but Baizhu is extremely weak when it comes to physicality. Layla is a specialist in theoretical astrology and is part of the Rtawahist Darshan in Sumeru Akademiya. She is chronically sleep deprived, which takes a toll on her health. This is because she has an alternate persona where she sleep-walks and completes all her tasks efficiently.

Layla's sleepwalker is quite unique and has a lot of potential in terms of lore strength. But from the looks of it, Layla is definitely one of them weakest characters in Genshin Impactwith few or no impressive feats under his belt.

7 Barbara

Deaconess in Favonius Church

Barbara is a very popular figure in Mondstadt and is basically an idol with tons of fans. Barbara doesn't actually have any impressive abilities of her own. She is simply a good-hearted deaconess in Favonius Church who wants to help others.

She even says that she wouldn't be able to fend off a group of Treasure Hoards even though she had a vision. On top of this, she lacks combat training. All these qualities justify Barbara's position among the weakest characters in Genshin Impact.

6 Dory

Dori Sangemah Bay is a famous merchant in Sumeru known for charging exorbitant prices for his items. She is also the owner of the Palace of Alcarzarzaray. Dori is extremely wealthy and is pretty much obsessed with Mora, which has caused her to indulge in the black market and use dubious methods to acquire and sell items.

Aside from these traits, Dori doesn't have many things in terms of sheer strength in lore. Although she has a lot of financial influence, she lacks the physical strength and magical powers that many other characters excel at. In fact, as a Claymore user, she doesn't even use the weapon; Jinni does it for her. If Mora is out of the equation, Dori is easily one of them weakest characters in Genshin Impact.

5 Nilou

Nilou is an experienced dancer for the Zubayr Theater and is one of the most featured characters from Sumeru. Unfortunately, her strength in lore doesn't match her play power. While Nilou is physically fit and able to overcome ordinary enemies, she lacks the standout feats that truly make her a formidable threat in the story.

Nilou had many moments in the spotlight during the Sumeru arc of the game's story, but none of these showcased her powers or strength. Therefore, it's safe to say that Nilou is an ordinary vision bearer with not much potential to become a powerful character.

4 Charlotte

Charlotte is another character who is just a regular vision carrier in Genshin Impact's story. She is a reporter for The Steambird, a Fontaine-based newspaper company. Charlotte is an excellent Cryo support, but she lacks these strengths in lore.

Charlotte has a keen eye for the latest trends and goes out of her way to get the most enticing information for the public to enjoy. Aside from this, there really isn't much to Charlotte, as she doesn't possess any physical or magical strength that can match other characters.

3 Kaveh

Kaveh is a genius architect responsible for building the Palace of Alcazarzaray, which is considered his greatest work. However, he went bankrupt after this project, resulting in him sharing accommodation with Alhaitham. A former Kshahrewar Darshan student, Kaveh and his trusted case, Mehrak, primarily do tasks related to architecture although they can use Mehrak as a combat tool as seen in the game.

Kaveh doesn't necessarily have the powers to match many of the other humans in Sumeru. He was easily outclassed by Faruzan in trivial matters like running. While Kaveh is undoubtedly a great architect, he is simply not a powerful character in the story, as he lacks combat training and unique powers.

2 Furina

Furina is one of the most troubled characters in Genshin Impact with a sad background. For 500 years she had to act as the Hydro Archon to ensure Focalor's plan came to fruition. After the end of the Fontain Archon Quest series, Furina reverted to being a normal person until her story quest, where she received a vision of Neuvillette.

Furina is still a very new vision carrier. She has no combat training and is a pacifist. So far, she is still one of them weaker characters i Genshin Impacts lore. But the nature of her vision, her ability to harness Pneuma and Ousia, and affinity with the Hydro element is a telling sign that Furina won't be weak for long.

Xinyan is one of the least affected characters in the story. Many of Xinyan's stories explore her past and her passion for rock 'n' roll music. There is no indication that Xinyan is a prolific fighter or an individual with high elemental affinity. Therefore, it is safe to assume that she is a rather weak character Genshin Impacts story.
